Crye-Leike Realtor Norma Cother Retires After 40 Years of Service
Tupelo, Miss: Crye-Leike Real Estate Services announces that Realtor Norma Cother has retired after serving her community in the real estate industry for over 40 years. Norma held affiliation with Crye-Leike’s Tupelo branch office and was a great asset to the company.
As the managing broker for Crye-Leike’s Tupelo office for many years, Norma was a mentor, leader and friend to each of her agents. Norma’s professional development and demeanor also earned her Crye-Leike’s Circle of Excellence award, the highest honor given by the company. Although Norma enjoyed a long, prosperous career, she now looks forward to this next chapter in her life.
“My clients and fellow Realtors have become like family, and I am forever grateful for this experience,” said Norma. “Now is the time for me to enjoy my newfound free time, but I will always be thankful and blessed for the opportunity to serve my community!”
Norma’s leadership often stretched beyond the walls of Crye-Leike’s office. She was heavily involved in Mississippi’s local and state real estate associations, serving on numerous boards and committees throughout her career. In her community, Norma served as the past president of Business & Professional Women’s Network, served as past president of the Tupelo Junior Auxiliary and volunteered with Leadership Lee County.
Crye-Leike wishes Norma a happy, healthy retirement and highlights the following thoughts shared by her colleagues:
“Norma Cother is truly a ‘one of a kind’ broker and mentor. She has a loving spirit, but a strong backbone when needed. She is beloved by all who truly know her. She has not only been a trusted managing broker for our Tupelo office, but she has repeatedly shown her reliability when things didn’t work out as we had hoped. She will be sorely missed by all, but we look forward to the person who Norma also helped us obtain as her replacement as the new broker for the office: Rob Harshbarger.” – Steve Brown
“After a couple of short years in real estate, when I was ready for a move to a bigger office, I met with many brokers in this area. None of them made me feel like Norma Cother did. That is why I ended up at Crye Leike. Norma is one of a kind and a very special person to me. Very seldom do you get the opportunity to work with someone with such a kind, warm, and welcoming spirit. I have been blessed to work under Norma as one of her agents for 12 years now and thank her greatly for leading me up the ladder of success, not only a Realtor, but also an individual. Enjoy the fruits of your hard labor, Ms. Norma; you have surely earned it!” – Beth Walker
“I have known Norma for a long time. She is an honest and trustworthy soul. In recent years, she was a client of mine and always had time for a sales pitch and a few laughs. Last year, she was my mentor and offered sound counsel and teaching as I worked into being the new broker here. Now, most importantly, she is my valued friend and confidant!” – Rob Harshbarger
“Norma always treated her agents and staff like family because of her compassion for the business and us. We all work together, help each other and really care for each other. It is a unique office like no other. She was always the example of honesty, loyalty, professionalism, willingness to help, dependability, knowledge and out pour of love for all. She was and will always be my friend, confidante and my family. Norma, I love you very much and will miss you terribly.” – Shirley Curry
“Her guidance and advice has helped me professionally & personally. I am thankful to have worked with Norma for the past 20 years.” – Vicki West
“Thanks for being the best broker, and I appreciate your sweet words of encouragement. The knowledge you shared will have a lasting memory with me. Enjoy your retirement!” – Gloria Holliday
