Crye-Leike Acquires Linda Brown Realty of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Twelfth Office in Its NE Tenn. Region

Oak Ridge, Tenn. (August 3, 2016) – Crye-Leike, REALTORS, the nation’s sixth largest residential real estate brokerage firm, has acquired Linda Brown Realty in Oak Ridge, Tenn., making it the company’s 12th branch office within its Northeast Tennessee Region.

The merger opens additional market regions in Tennessee for Crye-Leike in Anderson and Roane counties.

Owner and Principal Broker Linda L. Brown felt that it was a good business decision to make the move. “With Crye-Leike being a full service real estate firm, our office is now able to offer more real estate services for our clients and agents, giving us greater opportunities to expand and grow our business,” she said.

Crye-Leike will continue to operate in Linda Brown Realty’s current location at 1666 Oak Ridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The one story, 4,000 sq. ft. office building where the real estate firm is located was built by Linda Brown’s husband, Walter, and was also purchased in the acquisition.

Very little is changing except the name and signage, remarked Mrs. Brown “I will remain the managing broker as well as list and sell real estate just as I have been doing, and my agents will remain.  We all look forward to the technology upgrades and the continuing education that Crye-Leike offers, just to name a few of the service upgrades planned, all to help us agents stay up-to-date with the rapidly changing business world.”

“I believe this is a win-win for both companies,” said Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Harold Crye of Crye-Leike. “Oak Ridge and its surrounding areas are showing signs of steady growth with various companies expanding and moving there. We plan to build upon the foundation that Linda and her team of sales associates has successfully built for over three decades. We are very happy to be expanding our Crye-Leike brand there.”

This Oak Ridge office joins other Crye-Leike company-owned offices in Athens, Johnson City, Knoxville ??” North, Knoxville ??” West, Loudon ??” Tellico Village, Pigeon Forge ??” Sevierville, along with its franchise offices in Crossville, Greeneville, Maryville, Morristown and Rogersville.

Linda Brown Realty opened its doors for business in 1983. The firm’s 12 sales associates have been in this current office on Oak Ridge Turnpike since 1987.

“With each new branch office we open, we strive to make it convenient for our customers and sales associates to utilize all of our services before, during and after a home purchase by offering reliable, efficient and convenient services for today’s busy lifestyles,” said Steve Brown, president of Crye-Leike Residential Sales.

Crye-Leike is vested in cutting-edge technology, said Chief Information & Strategy Officer Gurtej Sodhi. “Our Information Technology Division knows how to harness the technical and global power of the Internet to reach homebuyers and sellers to enhance the agents’ productivity and customer transactions,” said Mr. Sodhi. “And our numbers prove that with our company’s web site, www.crye-leike.com, averaging over 12,000 visitors per day and over 30 million hits per month.”

Every 12 minutes, Crye-Leike updates over 400,000 property listings on Crye-Leike.com to ensure the most accurate real estate information available.

With Crye-Leike’s mobile app, available on the App Store for IPhone or Android, over 55 percent of Crye-Leike’s total web traffic is now mobile and that is increasing rapidly.

Crye-Leike’s mobile app and web site display real-time real estate listings that come from numerous member Multiple Listing Service agencies in nine states where Crye-Leike has a market presence. Those states are Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

And giving back to those communities which have supported Crye-Leike’s sales associates and where the company has a market presence is a benchmark for Crye-Leike that also appealed to Mrs. Brown. She will complement the company’s philosophy by continuing to hold her office’s annual community Christmas open house, which features the choir from Linden Elementary School, the office’s Partner in Education.

They also plan to continue to participate in the Angel Tree Program with the Rotary Club in Oak Ridge where they purchase, wrap and deliver Christmas gifts and food for up to 110 families.

“Oak Ridge is our ‘home,'” said Mrs. Brown. “Our office will continue to support as many things as we can in the community to make Oak Ridge a better place to live for everyone.”

Crye-Leike in Oak Ridge will offer real estate and related services, including: relocation services; commercial business and investment real estate services; property leasing and management services; title & closing services; mortgage services and home warranty services.
