Crye-Leike’s Brian Robinson Named CFO of the Year by Memphis Business Journal

Memphis, TN., – Crye-Leike’s Brian Robinson has been named the 2014 CFO of the Year by the Memphis Business Journal. Robinson was one of five nominees in the “Private Company, More Than $100 million in Annual Revenue” category.

“It was a blessing of being at the right place at the right time.  Crye-Leike was busting at the seams in 1986 and in need of financial infrastructure and streamlined business processes.  Harold and Dick not only are some of finest individuals to work with but they have become very good friends of mine, they are like family” said Brian Robinson, CFO of Crye-Leike.

“Brian’s been a great financial officer and friend for the many years he’s been with us,” said Dick Leike, President of Crye-Leike. “He has done an outstanding job getting us through the tough times we experienced since the economy went sour in 2008 with the housing bust.”

Robinson has been with Crye-Leike for 28 years, serving as CFO for 20 years. He describes his transition from a traditional accounting role to a first-tier management position as one the most strategic moves of his career. Under Robinson’s leadership, Crye-Leike has experienced double digit organic growth for the past two years.

“Brian’s leadership during the recent real estate market recession was instrumental in guiding Crye-Leike through a difficult time,” said Harold Crye, President of Crye-Leike.

Beyond serving as CFO, Robinson oversees the operation of Crye-Leike Insurance Agency. Robinson measures success as delivering a superior service or product at an economic price point that brings satisfaction and value to the consumer.

“His detailed approach to Crye-Leike’s finances over the years has saved probably millions of dollars,” said Steve Brown, Executive Vice President.

Robinson and the other CFO of the Year nominees will be honored at breakfast ceremony on October 23 at the Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis. A panel of independent judges will choose category winners, which will be announced at the breakfast.
