Cookeville Realtor Saddles Up For A New Adventure

COOKEVILLE, TN., – Atop her spotted saddle horse riding through the woods down to Center Hill Lake, Tina Evans is like a postcard of what attracts people to the DeKalb County region and surrounding communities.  Her work as a real estate Broker puts her in front of old and new friends daily – many already enjoying or in pursuit of a simpler way of life.

When Tina arrived in the region in 2004 – business was good and it wasn’t long before she would open her own firm. But as real estate sales started to slow down she joined one of the local companies in Smithville and kept on selling.

Like a horse ride that has its twists and unexpected turns, Tina was recently attracted to take a look at Crye-Leike, REALTORS – a company substantially bigger than her own and the small local firm she’d joined.

“I had worked in the past with the Managing Broker of the Crye-Leike, Cookeville office, Ruby Baker? and she told me she was looking for new agents and wanted to meet with me,” said Tina. “Due to the current market conditions I decided it would be worth sitting down with her to learn about Crye-Leike and what makes this company so successful.”

Success is something Tina has enjoyed over the years. The Real Estate and Bankruptcy Paralegal, originally from Massachusetts, practiced for over 25 years there and in New Hampshire. Then? one day she decided to transition out of the legal side.

“As a Paralegal I really enjoyed seeing the smiles on so many buyers and sellers faces, so I decided to get my real estate license,” said Tina. “I started working for a large nationwide company.”

Not long after her big start in real estate sales – just six months later – Tina stopped and decided it was time to move out of the Northeast.

Upon relocating from Massachusetts to a Nashville condo in 1998 Evans went back to work as a Paralegal with a firm in the city.  A subsequent lay-off due to downsizing six years later resulted in her trading-in the condo for the fresh country air of Center Hill Lake and Dekalb County.

“I really love helping people and real estate is the best venue for me to do just that,” said Tina. “I love a challenge and find just that when I’m helping to put the right property with the right buyers. Helping clients discern exactly what they’re looking for is a lot of fun – and work – but when it falls into place it’s awesome!”

After her recent meeting with Crye-Leike Cookeville’s Ruby Baker, Tina realized it was time to join what she considers, a successful and branded company.

“As a Crye-leike agent I am able to pass on the highest level of knowledge and skills to my clients through information and education provided by the company,” said Tina. “My clients then receive full value of my providing them with a higher level of standards and professionalism that will meet all their needs either as a buyer, seller or investor.”

In Tina’s own words, “the opportunity Crye-Leike extends to its agents is unsurpassed by any other agency in the Southeast.”

While she fully expects her business to thrive and increase – Tina plans to do her best to continue to carve out time for the outdoors? taking in all the fresh country air she can while hiking or riding her spotted saddle horse through the woods near Center Hill Lake.
