New And Lasting Friendships Offer Cookeville Realtor An Extraordinary Life

COOKEVILLE, TN., – In his early years of selling real estate, Realtor Bill Bowling recalls meeting some great Amish guys in the ?Christian Community’ in and around the Hillham area of Tennessee.  He had been tapped to help promote and sell some remaining farms there. Turns out Bill didn’t just sell the farms – he made what he considers many new friends for life.

“In assisting with the advertising and selling of their homes I gained a new set of Christian friends that I will never forget,” said Bill. “In fact, after the sale of their farms I took my 16ft trailer loaded down with horse drawn equipment up to Kentucky for them and met more of their family.”

Bill recalls on that visit how he couldn’t resist stopping by a store and bringing their children some popsicles.

“They told me they’d wished they had met me a year earlier because they considered me the most honest and helpful Realtor they’d ever dealt with,” said Bill. “They said they would have liked me to have represented all the other men in the community in selling their homes for them too.”

The experience stays with Bill after more than eight years in the real estate profession – more than half of which has been spent selling ?Lake Front Properties’ in Rockwood and Smithville Tennessee for developers on Center Hill Lake, Watts Bar Lake and Lake Chickamauga.

“Working on lakefront homes helped me gain a new insight into how best to help clients find and make a decision of when and what to purchase,” said Bill. “Many of them are now living in their new homes on or near the lake in one of the beautiful gated communities we developed. What’s rewarding is having many of my investors come back to me to list their properties.”

Bill now brings his ?early years’ experiences and years of selling lakefront property to Crye-Leike, REALTORS in Cookeville. It didn’t take long for the experienced Realtor to realize results as he recently made the transition from a small local realty firm to the largest real estate company in the Mid-South.

“My first week I got a new listing on a small home and within two weeks we got an offer and had it under contract,” said Bill.  “The experience so far with Crye-Leike has turned out to be good for me. I’m working with a great team.”

Bill now gets to work alongside his best friend and fellow Realtor Connie Davis who was often encouraging him to join her at Crye-Leike. He says he’s especially impressed with the Cookeville office Managing Broker Ruby Baker – who he describes as ?upbeat’ and like a ?ball of fire.’

“I have to thank Ruby for posting on Facebook that she was looking for a few good agents,” said Bill.  “I dropped her a reply and we got together for dinner. That’s all it took to convince me that this is where I needed to be.”

Having sold mostly lakefront homes, properties and acreage during the last five-plus years – Bill believes he knows how to find clients exactly what they want. With new hope for the economy he’s adding new listings to his inventory? learning more about the Realtor support systems available with Crye-Leike and looking forward to developing more new friendships that last a lifetime.

“It gives me great pleasure to find exactly what someone is looking for,” said Bill. “And I hope to do that for a very long time here at Crye-Leike Cookeville.”
