Realtors Host Second Annual Rummage Sale For Second Harvest & United Way

Local organizations including Second Harvest Food Bank and United Way need the help of businesses and the public now more than ever.

Disasters like the unusual Nashville flooding shine light on why donating to organizations such as United Way and Second Harvest is such an important thing to do. For these organizations, donations are vital to their survival and their ability to help those who need it most in times of terrible tragedy.

For the second year in a row, Crye-Leike, REALTORS Starwood sales office is hosting a rummage sale to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Last year the office of Realtors raised $800 for Second Harvest at their First Annual Rummage Sale. This year Crye-Leike Starwood will host its Second Annual Rummage Sale Charity Bazaar with all proceeds going to United Way and Second Harvest Food Bank.

“Last year’s rummage sale was great and brought in many donations; however, we are hoping to raise even more money this year in a time when Nashville charities need it most,” said Crye-Leike Affiliate Broker and Starwood Office Administrator Wanda Batson. “Our office hopes to have the public’s help with creating a larger rummage sale this June.”

Crye-Leike Starwood encourages the public to bring donations for the rummage sale to its office from 8:00am to 5:00pm during normal business hours. Donations can be dropped off at Crye-Leike’s Starwood sales center located at 12647 Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville.

“Our office is accepting rummage sale donations of furniture, clothing, household items, appliances, lawn furniture and much more,” said Batson. “We are also collecting monetary and non-perishable food items for Second Harvest and United Way.”

Crye-Leike Starwood invites everyone to stop by the rummage sale on Saturday, June 5th, from 8am to 5pm where the office parking lot will turn into one big charity bazaar. There will be a rummage sale, refreshments, games, fun for kids including a balloon artist and face tattoos, and fun for all ages.

Cash for gold and silver will be given away from 10am-5pm courtesy of Goldgirl Events – www.goldgirlevents.com. Goldgirl Events Representative Jenny Thayer will be at the rummage sale purchasing the public’s gold or silver and donating 15% of the proceeds to Second Harvest Food Bank and United Way.

“It will be a fun day for everyone and a great way to donate to two wonderful Nashville charities,” said Batson.
