Crye-Leike Goodlettsville Realtor Kim Blanton Completes Short Sale & Foreclosure Training To Help Preserve Home Ownership And Aide Struggling Families

GOODLETTSVILLE, TN., – As more and more real estate sales involve buyers and sellers dealing with properties heading for foreclosure or properties that have already been foreclosed on by the bank – many licensed Realtors have been forced to ?change their game’ and approach in order to adapt to this new ?traditional’ real estate transaction.

“I have worked in Real Estate through all the good times. This is the first time since becoming an agent in 1996 that I have seen such a dramatic decline in our industry,” said Kim. “I feel I have a responsibility to my community to help homeowners and buyers alike who need assistance with the short sale or foreclosure process in this current distressed economy.”

Crye-Leike Goodlettsville Realtor Kim Blanton recently completed a new Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource course offered by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). She now feels better equipped with both the tools and ?know how’ to help sellers maneuver and negotiate the complexities of short sales as well as help buyers pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities.

“Home owners in particular will need the most help as they are facing a very bad time in their lives by having to sell and move out of their homes,” said Kim. “If we as certified SFR Realtors can reach out to enough of these homeowners and let them know that there are other options to foreclosure – perhaps they will call for help before the late payments start.”

Kim adds, “This is a difficult situation and having a Realtor who has the knowledge of the short sale process can really help ease their burden in this challenging market.”

Armed with her new Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification from the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Kim is NAR certified to qualify sellers, negotiate with lenders, limit risks and protect buyers.

“I have been trained to help sellers wade through the short sale process, discuss loan modification, help them understand the options that they have when they become unable to make their mortgage payments or just need to sell due to a relocation,” said Kim. “I can also help everyday buyers and investors work through the process of buying foreclosed properties, advise them of the risks and pitfalls and tell them how to construct a winning offer.”

As a SFR Certified Realtor, Kim has successfully completed all of the required prerequisite and program course work to become a National Association of Realtors qualified Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource (SFR) Specialist.

“I hope to aide many homeowners save their property from foreclosure through assisting them with a short sale and helping them preserve their dream of homeownership in the future, and I hope to help buyers with a safe and successful purchase of a foreclosed property.” said Kim. “Helping buyers purchase a short sale or foreclosure property will hopefully help that homeowner not have to go through a foreclosure themselves,” said Kim.
