A Childhood Pastime Of Studying Homes And Architecture Inspires

ROGERS, AR., – Even as a little girl, Virginia Blackford enjoyed looking at houses. She remembers visiting construction sites to check out how the homes were being built and to study their architecture – a childhood pastime that led her into a successful career as a real estate agent.

For two years, Virginia has been a licensed Realtor in Arkansas enjoying helping people with all their real estate needs. She started out as a new agent with Charles Burt Realty and recently transferred her license to Crye-Leike, REALTORS.

“It is exciting to be part of a company whom so many people recognize and who is the leading real estate company in the region, and one of the top companies in the nation,” said Crye-Leike Agent Virginia Blackford. “In the summer of 2007, I saw a sign advertising classes to become a Realtor and I thought why not? I have since found that I like meeting different people and enjoy helping them through the home buying process.”

Virginia enjoys the process of doing real estate transactions – no matter how difficult of a challenge she may face.

“My first client was a difficult case as she was in a short sale situation before short sales became an approved part of the real estate market and no other agent could or would help her,” said Virginia. “After my client was qualified for a short sale, she gave me her listing because I was the only one who had tried to help her.”

Each transaction is unique and challenging and I’m always learning something new, Virginia explains.

“I may not be a miracle worker, but it won’t be for lack of trying!” said Virginia.

Virginia is a licensed Realtor in Arkansas assisting buyers and sellers in and around Benton and Washington counties. She specializes in residential real estate focusing on first-time homebuyers, REO and short sale properties. Virginia is a member of the Rogers Board of Realtors, Arkansas Board of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.

Facing challenging situations is nothing new for Virginia. Since 1976, she has served as an x-ray technologist in the radiology field and is also a certified and registered nuclear medicine technologist.

“I have enjoyed these occupations very much,” said Virginia. “Much like real estate, hospital work is a service industry with many facets such as privacy laws, large amounts of paperwork, legal issues and client services that can lead to many challenges in helping patients and their families.”
