Crye-Leike Fayetteville Realtors Cheryl Culp and Landra Bench Invite Anxious Buyers & Sellers To A Free Educational Housing Seminar Before Tax Credit Expires

Fayetteville, AR., – The clock is ticking down on the government’s $8,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers as the credit expires November 30. First-time homebuyers and anyone who hasn’t owned a home in three years have less than four months to search for and close on a home before the opportunity to receive the $8,000 credit ends.

Crye-Leike, Fayetteville Realtors Cheryl Culp and Landra Bench invite the public to attend a FREE educational homebuyer’s seminar and find out why now is the best time to purchase a home.

“We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who is even considering buying a home right now,” said Landra. “With the $8,000 tax credit for first-time buyers, with interest rates still at a historical low and with a good selection of homes on the market to choose from, now is a great time for anyone to purchase a home and stop throwing money away on rent.”

The seminar will educate buyers on several important home buying topics including: how and where to start looking for a home, how to receive the $8,000 tax credit, the importance of finding one qualified agent to help you through the buying process, the importance of working with a knowledgeable lender, how to get pre-approved for a home loan, the type of mortgages available, and how to improve your credit score. Magna Bank Loan Specialist Chad Bridgers will be at the seminar answering buyers’ financial questions and everyone in attendance will also receive an informational first-time home buying packet.

Potential buyers are encouraged to come ask questions and learn about the entire home buying process from searching for a home and making an offer to signing papers at the closing table.

“We have designed this to be a very informal seminar where people can feel comfortable to learn about the home buying process and have all their questions answered by professionals,” said Cheryl. “We have been hosting the seminars every other Thursday since June and have had great feedback from the attendees who said they learned a lot and would recommend the seminar to friends looking to buy now or just gain valuable knowledge for buying a home down the road.”

Sellers can also find out about what things they can do to help sell their homes quicker in this current buyers market. Prospective sellers can hear what’s happening in their local housing market instead of all the gloom and doom they hear in national media reports.

The seminar will be held at Crye-Leike, REALTORS Fayetteville branch office located at 1280 East Stearns Street in Fayetteville on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 5:30 to 7pm. The seminar is also planned to be held on Thursday Sept. 3, 2009 and Thursday Sept. 17, 2009.

“Some people still don’t know about the tax credit and our seminar has been very effective in informing potential buyers in the community,” said Cheryl. “I just closed on a home for one of the attendees that came to the first homebuyers’ seminar we did. They found a home they love and that fit their needs and are in the process of filing for the $8,000 return.”
