De-Clutter And Donate Your Slightly Worn Household Goods And Clothing

DICKSON, TN., – Agents at Crye-Leike Dickson are encouraging folks in the community to de-clutter their apartments, homes and offices and donate unwanted new and slightly warn items to the company’s United Way Yard Sale Kick-Off Fundraiser.

“For the past several years we’ve held a big yard sale in September, but due to an excess of donations from last year we decided to have a pre kick-off sale next month,” said Cindy Smith, Crye-Leike Dickson Affiliate Broker and Office Captain for United Way.  “We will still have our large United Way Yard Sale in September as well and we hope folks can support us twice this year instead of just once.”

Through its yard sales the past two years Crye-Leike Dickson has raised more than $1,000 for local agencies supported by funds from United Way. With two sales in 2009 the agents and staff hope to double what they’ve raised in the two previous years.

“While our local agencies are many, most of our donations go to Dickson County Help Center, Dickson Senior Citizen Center and the Meals on Wheels Program,” said Beth Ahlheit, Crye-Leike Dickson Affiliate Broker and Office Co- Captain for United Way.  “We have already had many donations but we’re still in need of more items. We encourage folks to spend some time in the next week or so de-cluttering and dropping by our office on Highway 46 with donations for our sale July 10th.”
