Crye-Leike, REALTORS Broker Scott Boles Returns From Washington With

MURFREESBORO, TN., – After 20-plus years selling real estate, Crye-Leike, REALTORS Broker Scott Boles remains as motivated about the housing market as the day he started.  The manager for Crye-Leike’s Murfreesboro branch office recently returned from meetings in Washington D.C. with elected leaders and industry leaders of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

?It’s an opportunity for those of us in the industry to meet with our elected senators and congressmen face to face and share what’s important about home ownership,” said Scott.  “It’s important they hear from us as constituents who can impress upon them what’s going on in our communities – and offer feedback on the measures initiated thus far to help homeowners and homebuyers.”

Scott was also able to learn how other regions of the county are grappling with the issues in the housing market.  He spent time listening to others and sharing his own experiences.  Scott believes that by coming together the real estate market can be stimulated and in turn stimulate the whole economy.

“The theme throughout my time in D.C. with other leaders in the real estate industry is how do we work collectively to stabilize the housing market,” said Scott.  “I believe one of our strongest opportunities is to motivate individuals who have never owned a home or who haven’t owned one for at least three years to purchase this year and take full advantage of the $8,000 tax credit opportunity.”

Scott and the Realtors in his office have worked tirelessly to get the word out – to young people especially who have never owned a home before. As a 2009 – 2011 member of the Board of Directors to the NAR representing the Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR) Scott reaches beyond his own company to impress upon his colleagues that first time homebuyers represent a huge opportunity.

In addition to managing Crye-Leike Murfreesboro office, Scott is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Graduate REALTOR Institute.  He is a leading member of MTAR, NAR and the Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR). Scott is a past president of MTAR and currently serves on its Governmental Affairs and Professional Standards committee.

Scott is a licensed Broker in Tennessee with more than 20 years of real estate sales experience working with buyers and sellers in and around Rutherford and Bedford counties.  He specializes in all types of sales including Professional Office/Medical Leasing and provides leadership to his growing office sales team in a changing market.
