Crye-Leike, REALTORS Is Proud To Announce The Opening Of Downtown Memphis Office
MEMPHIS, TN, – Crye-Leike, REALTORS is proud to announce the opening of Crye-Leike, Downtown – a full service real estate and leasing sales center in the heart of Memphis. The new venture – located at 8 South Third Street in Memphis – brings together the city’s largest and most well known real estate brand with the downtown real estate sales dominance offered by a team of former Henry Turley Company associates – together launching Crye-leike Downtown.
“We’re excited about this opportunity to join with associates of the Henry Turley Company,” said Dick Leike, Cofounder & President of Crye-Leike, REALTORS. “By utilizing existing space and changing the central focus of our existing property management office space downtown to one of residential sales and leasing, we saw an opportunity to better serve downtown, which we see as a good long term growth market.”
Crye-Leike, Downtown is a new presence for an existing Crye-Leike location at 8 South Third Street that had operated solely as a Property Management office. It has now been converted to a residential real estate sales and leasing center to accommodate a new Realtor team and focus on sales. Crye-Leike’s Jerry Schile will serve as Principal Broker.
Former Henry Turley Company Vice President of Sales Jason Durston brings to Crye-Leike a listing inventory in excess of $14-million. Joining him in the move from Turley are sales associates: Mike Parker, Kris Gavin and Justin Sharpe.
“When Henry Turley and I recently discussed the new direction he wanted to take his development firm, one of the residential real estate companies he pointed me to was Crye-Leike,” said Jason. “We talked to several firms but Crye-Leike, Dick Leike, Harold Crye and Memphis General Manager Steve Brown clearly stood out from the others. With Crye-Leike’s desire to focus more on downtown and our desire to align with a company that puts innovation and customer service ahead of everything else – Crye-Leike was the only choice. The company’s ranking as #1 in Memphis and #4 in the nation with strong brand and name recognition were key factors in our decision.”
The following projects are being brought to Crye-Leike, Downtown from the Turley company: the 18-story Goodwin Condominium Tower and leasing opportunities in the three building Courtsquare Center Development.
“Downtown is one of a few markets in the Memphis region which is showing a higher median price this year over last,” said Harold Crye, Cofounder & CEO of Crye-Leike, REALTORS. “It’s one of the few places in Shelby County where you can still see construction cranes operating on the new Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, the Horizon and several luxury apartment buildings.”
Crye-Leike, Downtown is centrally located at the corner of Third & Madison – adjacent to the Autozone Park – home of the Memphis AAA Redbirds baseball team. The building was originally home to Memphis Light, Gas and Water.
Principal Broker Jerry Schile previously served as the Manager of Crye-Leike’s downtown Property Management Office at the South Third Street location. He joined the company in 1998 to serve as the Managing Broker at Crye-leike in Millington and since 2003 he has served as Crye-Leike Property Manager in the downtown location. His mission now is one of maintaining leasing services and leading a new residential real estate sales team with a focus on selling downtown Memphis.
Since 1994 Jerry has been a licensed Realtor in Tennessee and a licensed Broker since 1998. Jerry is a Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) and member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) Multi-Million Dollar Sales Producer.
