Broker Rob Mynatt Joins The Property Management Team In Cordova, Tennessee

MEMPHIS, TN., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS is pleased to welcome Broker Rob Myatt to the company’s Property Management Division in Cordova, Tennessee.  He had previously been based out of the company’s Athens Tennessee branch office and recently returned to the Memphis region where he grew up.  In the Cordova office Rob’s focus is on commercial brokerage and property leasing.

“I moved away ten years ago to attend the University of Tennessee and after college opportunities in the East Tennessee region just fell in line,” said Rob. “I’m glad to be back and enjoying seeing old friends and being back around family.”

Rob is based out of Crye-Leike Property Management in Cordova, located at 890 Willow Tree Circle.  He is currently assisting a developer seeking tenants for retail office space in Oakland, Lakeland and Arlington.  Coupled with a recent retail center closing in Memphis, Rob is eager to pursue new commercial brokerage and leasing opportunities.  Rob is a licensed Broker in Tennessee assisting buyers and sellers in and around Shelby, Fayette, Hardeman and McNairy counties.  He specializes in all types of commercial and residential property transactions with a focus on new construction, land and commercial investment.

“My approach to business is building relationships – I don’t sell then disappear,” said Rob.  “I stick around and help when I can and treat folks how I would want to be treated.  I understand that a lot of people feel overwhelmed when it comes to shopping for and buying real estate. Whether building a custom home, buying or leasing commercial space or looking at farms or timber tracts – it is my job to understand everything and be able to answer questions and prevent the ?hick-ups’ that break deals and cause cold feet. I guess if you look at it from that angle I am there to keep peoples feet warm ”

Outside of real estate sales Rob is a home builder.  In Knoxville from 2004 – 2008 he partnered with his older brother Andy and formed Mynatt Brothers Homes in which Rob served as a Homebuilder and Director of Sales and Marketing.  During that same period he became a licensed Realtor – first affiliated as an agent with Elite Realty in Powell, Tennessee and later as a Broker with Crye-Leike in Athens, Tennessee.

“My brother and I enjoyed success until the recent decline in the market – and we still have properties available there,” said Rob.  “In the interim we are restructuring and waiting – which has me back in Memphis with a new plan. I see the down market now as an opportunity to come out swinging with a fresh start.  It’s exciting.”

Rob has a rich background in construction.

“I learned carpentry on framing crews in high school and college with Cade Peeper Homes and David Miller Homes and dabbled in steel framing with Allen & O’Hara Construction Company building churches on Houston Levee,” said Rob.  “My grandfather built a commercial contracting business in Memphis and I look at the way he ran his business and I look at the man himself. He worked business on handshakes and hard work and I strive to do the same.”

Rob sees his transition back to Memphis as an opportunity to regroup and get back to that love affair with building homes again.  He plans to concentrate his efforts on building lake houses around the Delta South region.

“It’s a great feeling to stand in the middle of a newly framed house.  It’s great,” said Rob. “But if you were standing in that same spot looking at the lake – now imagine that. My family has always had a house on Pickwick Lake. I absolutely love spending time there. I caught my first fish out there. I want others to see how great it is.”

Rob has been a licensed Realtor since 2004.  He is a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR), Knoxville Area Association of Realtors (KAAR) and National Association of Realtors.  In Knoxville Rob took to the radio with his weekly show, “This Week in Real Estate.”

“Working in the real estate field can be as hard or as easy as you make it,” said Rob.  It can be rewarding or it can be bone crushing.  When it seems the latter you need to look at the way you do your job and re-evaluate where you want your career to go.”

Rob lives in Germantown and during the summer you can often find him at Pickwick. He attends Grace Evan church in Germanton and when Rob’s not busy with clients he enjoys hunting, fly-fishing, cooking and traveling.
