Crye-Leike REALTORS Agent Carolyn Watson Named First Recipient

CLARKSVILLE, TN., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS congratulates Agent Carolyn Watson on being named the first recipient ever of the Clarksville Association of Realtors (CAR) Community Involvement Award for 2008.  She is a company sales associate based out of the St. Bethlehem branch office located at 2512 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., in Clarksville.

“This award is a great honor because it recognizes me for what I do to help the community where I live and work,” said Carolyn.  “When I work with those in need I am giving back to Clarksville.”

Carolyn’s involvement has included serving as the CAR Co-Chair of Public Relations in 2007 when she launched the successful fundraiser “Angels For Air” which provided air conditioners to the poor, elderly, disabled and small children in the city.  As the PR chair in 2008 she lead the way with a sponsorship for FUEL, the program that feeds at-risk school children on weekends – raising more than $10-thousand dollars.  Carolyn currently serves as the director of the Cumberland Baptist Disaster Relief team – responding to emergency situations locally and nationally.

“In 2008 our PR committee had a budget of $7,000 to spend on marketing and promoting projects, but instead of spending it all we saved a lot of it,” said Carolyn.  “So over the course of the year we gave most of the money out to several agencies including: the Good Samaritan Clinic for free medical services, Empty Bowls for the homeless and the Salvation Army Angel Tree and building program.”

Since 2000 Carolyn has been a licensed Realtor in Tennessee and Kentucky assisting buyers and sellers in and around Montgomery, Cheatham and Robertson counties in Tennessee and the counties of Western Kentucky.  She specializes in all types of residential and commercial real estate sales with a focus on first-time homebuyers. Carolyn is a Graduate, REALTOR Institute, a member of CAR and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

“I make a living selling real estate and love it,” said Carolyn.  “I give back by spending some of the money I earn helping people who for whatever reason cannot help themselves.  At the end of the day, that is what it is all about – giving back to the town I love and call home.”

Carolyn began her career in real estate back in the 1980’s in Indiana, but was licensed for just a couple of years.  Then in 2000 she took up real estate again and joined Crye-Leike’s new Sango branch office in Clarksville.  In 2004 she left the company for the Prudential Real Estate group and has just recently returned to Crye-Leike, based out of the company’s St. Bethlehem branch office.
