COLUMBIA/SPRING HILL, TN., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS agents are doubling-up their efforts in November, offering buyers and sellers two FREE Informational Workshops at the company’s Columbia and Spring Hill branch offices.  The seminars will provide FREE professional advice and information to prospective buyers and sellers who are considering a purchase or sale in today’s tricky housing market.

“Our program is open to anyone in the community to come and learn about home ownership and the benefits of buying and selling in today’s market,” said Kristin Pendergraft, Managing Broker of Crye-Leike Spring Hill.  “It’s our desire to reach out to people in Spring Hill, Thompson’s Station and Columbia so they can learn first hand about the opportunities available today.”

Pendergraft says agents and other professionals will be on hand to help prospective first time homebuyers understand the Federal Housing Relief Act, the available $7,500 tax credit along with the ins and outs of the process.

“I believe this is a great opportunity for our communities to come find out about the benefits and joys or home ownership,” said Kristin.  “Even if they don’t plan on buying today they will learn how to be prepared for a future purchase.”

In addition to Crye-Leike agents, the program will include experts in the mortgage market from Magna Bank, closing services from Realty Title and insurance from Crye-Leike Insurance.

“We will be discussing things like how to improve your credit score, how much of a home is needed, what can a buyer afford, where to start looking for a home, why a home inspection is important, the benefits of a home warranty and how to choose the right Realtor,” said Colene Dooley, Managing Broker of Crye-Leike Columbia.  “Most importantly we want folks involved in all sides and aspects of the transaction to take advantage of a rare opportunity to discuss what’s going on and how all parties can learn more from a face to face meeting.”

Colene says sellers will find out what they can do right now to help sell quickly in this buyers market.

“Overall, we want anxious sellers and first time buyers to be confident about the process in the current residential housing environment that we’re in right now,” said Colene.  “Sellers especially need to hear what’s happening in our local market which is not all gloom and doom as the national media reports would have you believe.”

The workshops are FREE and refreshments will be served.  The Crye-Leike Columbia Office is located at 1118 Nashville Highway and the Spring Hills Office is at 5407 Main Street.
