CRYE-LEIKE, REALTORS AGENTS & EMPLOYEES SPREAD SUNSHINE AND
ATHENS, TN., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS congratulates its sales associates and employees in Athens for another great year of giving. So far in 2008 the Athens “Sunshine Committee” has donated more than $2,000.00 to local charities, non-profit events and community organizations.
“Our people have a passion for helping others,” said Melonie Carideo, Managing Broker of Crye-Leike Athens. “Given the tough economic outlook for many individuals and families, the non profit organizations and agencies in Athens need our help now more than they ever had in years past.”
Agencies benefiting from the Athens office “Sunshine Committee” generosity in 2008 include: United Way of McMinn County, American Cancer Society Relay For Life, Athens City Schools and the Athens Fire and Rescue Christmas Toys For Children campaign.
“Quite simply our team in Athens has outdone themselves,” said Harold Crye, CEO & Cofounder of Crye-Leike, REALTORS. “It is humbling to see this kind of spirit of giving and in a year when so many people need a helping hand.”
The donations generated by the Athens branch office come from lunches, yard sales, festivals and other fundraising events held throughout the year.
“This isn’t about breaking the bank, it’s about doing what you can and we know how small amounts from everyone can really add up,” said Melonie. “Consider if everyone in your office donated one dollar to a cause once a month, at the end of the year you would have a pile of money to help people who couldn’t afford groceries, a prescription or some other critical expense.”
The Athens “Sunshine Committee” would like to thank everyone who has pitched in or donated to an office event in 2008. The Realtors and staff look forward to the community’s support again in 2009.
