MAUMELLE, AR., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS welcomes Betty J. Coney to the company in Maumelle, Arkansas where she will serve as a Managing Broker in the company’s Maumelle South branch office located at 123 Audubon Drive.

Betty Brings to Crye-Leike more than 23 years of real estate sales experience.

“I started in real estate almost 24 years ago,” said Betty.  “Because my husband Douglas is a builder he kept encouraging me to give it a try. ”

I had reached that stage in my life, Betty explains, where my children were teenagers and didn’t need me at home all the time so I decided I could sell real estate part time.

“I quickly learned that if you want to be successful in this business it takes a full-time commitment,” said Betty.  “So I plunged forward and within a year I was part owner of my owner company with two other ladies.”

Within six months Betty was asked to buy into a National Franchise Real Estate company in the area and she chose to join her colleagues in that business endeavor.  The experience of running her own company provided her with a sound foundation of managing people and an office- experience that has stayed with her over the years.

“I learned to love real estate,” said Betty.  “I especially love the feeling and experience of helping people find the perfect home.”

Betty is a licensed Broker in Arkansas assisting buyers and sellers in and around Pulaski, Saline, Faulkner and White counties.  She specializes in all types of residential real estate sales with a focus on new home construction and first-time homebuyers.

“I have always loved helping first-time homebuyers, doing my best to guide them in the right direction so that they are happy with their decision,” said Betty.  “They are always so excited and so appreciative of the idea of owning their own home.  Selling new construction homes is also a passion of mine because of the homebuilders in my family.

Betty is an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), member of the North Pulaski Board of Realtors (NPBR), Arkansas Realtors Association (ARA) and National Association of Realtors (NAR).

“After many years of owning my own real estate company, I decided to make some changes in my life and sold out to another company,” said Betty.  “Since then I have worked for other companies as a Managing Broker which allowed me to have the time to actively get back to working my own real estate business which I have always enjoyed.”

In recent years, Betty says she had been hearing about Crye-Leike, REALTORS and decided to checkout the organization.

“I decided to join the Crye-Leike team and boy have I been pleasantly surprised,” said Betty.  “I really look forward to the experience of working for a progressive and innovative real estate company that is committed to community, its agents and the real estate industry.”

Betty and her husband Douglas live in Maumelle and have been married for 48 years.  They are especially proud of the accomplishments of their three children. Son Doug Jr. is an Assistant Fire Chief with the Little Rock Fire Department, son Todd is a Captain with the Little Rock Fire Department and their daughter Paige Keen is the Director of Flight Nurses for Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

When Betty and Douglas aren’t busy with real estate and home building they love to travel, especially on cruises.  They also love spending time with their grandchildren and attending their sports and athletic events.  Betty and Douglas also enjoy a lot of family time at their lake house during the spring and summer months.
