CRYE-LEIKE, REALTORS CLIENT IS GEORGIA’S FIRST HOMEBUYER

CUMMING, GA., – There’s new help available to first time homebuyers in the form of FREE money through a collaboration that joins the North Georgia IMPACT Group, local banks, builders and Realtors.

Cumming, Georgia based Crye-Leike, REALTORS agent Kimberly Potter-Byrd is among those joining the effort with her clients.  She recently assisted a first time buyer through the process and helped the client become the first person in her immediate family to purchase and now own a home.

“This new program offers me the ability to continue to work with credit worthy, first time homebuyers and offer them a new down payment assistance program so they can enjoy the experience of home ownership,” said Kimberly.  “This is an exciting program that will allow first time homebuyers the ability to continue to purchase a new home in this challenged real estate market.”

Kimberly is a buyer’s agent who specializes in down payment assistance programs for first time homebuyers. She is thrilled to offer credit worthy homebuyers in Gwinnett, Dekalb, Jackson and Oconee counties the opportunity to obtain financing through the new partnership that brings together the IMPACT! Group, Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia and Brand Bank.

“Measures by the federal government have encouraged more first time home buying and in some ways also limited the options available,” said Kimberly. “By working with the IMPACT! Group and through a new Northeast Georgia Down Payment Assistance Grant Program I was able to get my client exactly what she needed to purchase her first home.”

Since 1993 Kimberly has been a licensed Realtor in Georgia assisting buyers and sellers in and around Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, Clayton, Rockdale, Henry, Dawson and Hall counties.  She specializes in all types of residential and commercial real estate sales with a focus on first-time homebuyers, new home construction, condominiums & town homes, relocation, investment and vacation properties.

“Many banks and mortgage companies have tightened the guidelines when it comes to lending to first time homebuyers,” said Kimberly.  “If a client doesn’t have perfect credit or has had some past credit problems they may not be able to qualify.”

Kimberly is a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors (ABR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).  She sells real estate with Crye-Leike as the “Byrd Team Sells Homes By Design.”  Kimberly is based out of the company’s Cumming, Georgia branch office located at 5940 Bethelview Road in Cumming.

“With our sole focus on first time buyers we will leave no stone unturned in an effort to put all the pieces together to help our clients achieve the American dream of home ownership,” said Kimberly. “There are many first time homebuyers in the market wanting to purchase a new home and this program will allow them to do so.”
