Crye-Leike, REALTORS congratulates Realtor Beth Finney on earning her professional designation as a Real Estate Collaborative Specialist-Divorce (RCS-D)

BRENTWOOD, TN, – As a Realtor Beth Finney knows that buying or selling a home can be a very emotional time, but shopping for a home or marketing a home while going through a divorce adds extra stress to the process. Since Beth knew several people going through a divorce and forced to sell their homes, she decided to help by earning her professional designation as a Real Estate Collaborative Specialist-Divorce (RCS-D).

“Having several friends experiencing selling their homes due to a divorce made it quite clear to me that having more skill and expertise was essential to help spouses during this highly emotional time,” said Beth. “Earning a designation that is new in the real estate profession was really important to me.”

As a RCS-D? REALTOR?, Beth is professionally trained to neutralize divorce real estate as a business transaction in the best interest of the house – and each divorcing spouse.  Leading your divorce real estate team, Beth also serves as project manager working with you and your lawyers and can refer real estate and financial professionals specializing in divorce to assist with essential evidence of your house value, which is important information before any property negotiation or mediation occurs.

“The family home is usually the most valuable asset in divorce. However, when dividing your marital property, appraisal minus mortgage does NOT equal equity,” said Beth. “This incomplete equation leaves your house over-valued and that works against you.  In addition to the inaccurate and unfair division of your property, you risk damaged credit, default, foreclosure or even bankruptcy without having more real estate knowledge early in your divorce process.”

Beth is a licensed Realtor with Crye-Leike based out of the company’s Brentwood West branch office located at 5111 Maryland Way. She assists buyers and sellers in and around Williamson and Davidson counties specializing in residential real estate. Beth is a member of the Williamson County Association of Realtors (WCAR), the Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
