CRYE-LEIKE, REALTORS COFOUNDERS WELCOME SALES MANAGERS AND ASSOCIATES TO THE COMPANY?S 2008 NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND EXPO
DESTIN, FL. – Crye-Leike, REALTORS Cofounder Harold Crye and Dick Leike are welcoming Managing Brokers and Sales Associates to the company’s 2008 National Conference and Expo. The annual meeting is taking place at the Hilton Sandestin Hotel and Conference Center, Tuesday, October 14 – Thursday, October 16, 2008.
With home sales for the company down approximately 25%, Cofounder and President Dick Leike sees the remainder of 2008 and 2009 as a rebuilding time frame.
“At a time when home prices continue to fall while the inventory of homes keeps growing, we must re-dedicate ourselves as the leaders we are, to support our clients and communities,” said Leike. “The sky is not falling and it’s up to each and every one of us to step up as the most knowledgeable about the housing market and instill confidence among our clients and peers.”
Cofounder and CEO Harold Crye believes the current downturn in home sales and high inventory will extend well into 2010.
“We are now looking at an average of a ten to eleven month supply of homes in most of our markets across the south,” said Crye. “Foreclosed properties, builders with deeply discounted inventories and sellers willing to slash their prices are the homes we see moving over the next 12 to 16 months.”
In response to the slowing home sale market, Crye said the company will remain focused on: increasing profitability, growing market share, investing in technology and cutting operating expenses.
“We see this downturn as an opportunity to look at how we and our associates can do a better job of meeting the needs of today’s home buyers and sellers,” said Crye. “To remain one of the nation’s top real estate companies we must evaluate everything from the size of our offices, to how we market and advertise and look at every aspect of our business to see how we can take care of our clients better and at the same time remain competitive and profitable.”
Harold Crye and Dick Leike established Crye-Leike, REALTORS in 1977. Today, Crye-Leike?, the nations 4th largest real estate company, has a network of more than 4,100 sales associates and 132 corporate and franchise offices located in 65 counties through-out the eight-state southern region of Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi and North Carolina.
Crye-Leike is a full-service real estate company offering buyers and sellers services in the following areas of specialty: residential sales, mortgage lending, title, insurance, commercial business and investments, property management, development and construction, builder resources, REO bank-owned properties, relocation, auctions, and home services referrals.
