CRYE-LEIKE, REALTORS MANAGING BROKER KAY JEFFERIES NAMED “2008 REALTOR OF THE YEAR” BY THE NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS
HERNANDO, MS.- Crye-Leike, REALTORS congratulates Managing Broker Kay Jefferies upon her selection as the “2008 Realtor of the Year” by the Northwest Mississippi Association of Realtors (NWMAR). Kay is based out of the company’s Hernando, Mississippi branch office located at 2380 E. Parkway in Hernando.
“I am very honored to have been nominated for this award by my fellow Realtors,” said Kay. “I feel very blessed to be a successful Realtor for more than 19 years. I feel there are many Realtors in our board who deserve this honor that I was awarded and I humbly thank them for choosing me as the recipient this year.”
Kay was chosen among several nominated Realtors for the annual top honor. Her selection was on the basis of having demonstrated outstanding involvement and leadership over the past year serving the local, state and national Realtor associations, business achievements, civic and charitable activities, serving on political committees, religious group involvement and showing Realtor Spirit.
“I love being involved in my local and state boards,” said Kay. “I feel the more you are involved the more you learn about your profession and the more you learn the better you can be at your job.”
Since 1989 Kay has been a licensed Realtor assisting buyers and sellers in and around Desoto, Tate, Tunica and Marshall counties. Today, as a Broker she specializes in all types of residential real estate sales with a focus on first time homebuyers and new home construction. Kay is an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI) and Seller Representative Specialist (SRS).
“I feel when the business is good to you, you have to give back to your community, which is why I love doing charity work and why I love being on the mission team of my church,” said Kay. “We go to Jamaica to build small homes for the homeless. It is not just the American Dream to have your own home it is a worldwide dream. It makes what I do worthwhile when I see a family move into a new home here or in Jamaica.”
Kay is the 2008 President of the Northwest Mississippi Board of Realtors, Vice President of the Realtor Services Corporation, Leadership Committee, By-Laws Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Association of Realtors. She is a Life Member of the Desoto County Multi-Million Dollar Club and a Life-Member of Crye-Leike, REALTORS Multi-Million Dollar Club. Kay is a member of the Northwest Mississippi Association of Realtors (NWMAR), Mississippi Association of Realtors (MAR), Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR) and National Association of Realtors (NAR).
In 1997 Kay was awarded Crye-Leike’s Circle of Excellence award. Founded in 1987, it is one of the highest levels of professional and personal achievement in the real estate industry based on an associate’s service to the company, community and Realtor profession. Realtors who are accepted into the elite Circle of Excellence are awarded the honorary title, Vice President of Crye-Leike.
