Community service is important to Jansen.  While studying computer science at UALR, he served the Student Court as an Associate Justice, and currently serves the community and the Sixth Judicial District of Arkansas as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate.   Jansen is also a member of the Arkansas Friendship Coalition, and from KABF 88.3 FM Community Radio in Little Rock, he broadcasts Gospel music over most of Arkansas every other Wednesday from 5 – 7 PM, and world-wide on the web at .
