DULUTH GA., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS is proud to announce Managing Broker Khoa Nguyen has been appointed to the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) Greater Atlanta Chapter Board of Directors.  Khoa is the Managing Broker of the Crye-Leike Duluth Headquarters office located at 3170 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Duluth, Georgia.


“I am honored to be joining the AREAA on its Board of Directors to help lead and grow the Greater Atlanta Chapter which was recently founded as a new chapter in May of 2008.” said Khoa.  “I serve many clients in the Greater Atlanta region and as an Asian American I am extremely proud to serve my community here.”


Since 2000 Khoa has been a licensed Realtor in Georgia assisting buyers and sellers in and around Gwinnett, North Fulton, Forsyth, Jackson and Dekab counties.  Khoa specializes in all types of residential and commercial real estate sales.  He transferred his Real Estate License to Crye-Leike, REALTORS in March 2008 from Re/Max where he worked as an Associate Broker for five years.


“Many Asian Americans and other minorities have relocated to the Atlanta area over the last five to ten years and they are being disproportionately impacted by the recent real estate slow down,” said Khoa.  “I feel a responsibility to represent the interests of those who are the most challenged at this time to ensure homeownership for everyone.”


The AREAA Greater Atlanta Chapter is hosting an Inaugural Gala on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center, 246 Perimeter Center Parkway NE. The event gets underway at 7:00pm with a cocktail hour beginning at 6:15pm.  Khoa encourages his colleagues and other real estate professionals to join him in the celebration of homeownership.


“The AREAA is dedicated to promoting homeownership opportunities in Asian American communities,” said Khoa.  “By supporting this association I join with my colleagues to help create a voice, both locally and nationally for real estate professionals who serve this dynamic market.”


Khoa is a member of the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of Realtors (NAMAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). He is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, REALTORS Institute (GRI) and a Lifetime Million Dollar Club Member.


As a fluent speaker of both the English and Vietnamese languages, Khoa is a bi-lingual member of the community. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.


Khoa is a U.S. Armed Forces Veteran having served as an officer in the U.S. Navy and is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.  He enjoys volunteering for Habitat For Humanity in the North Central Georgia area around Fulton County.
