MEMPHIS, TN., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS is extending an invitation to home buyers, first time buyers and prospective sellers to an Informational Workshop at the company’s Germantown Poplar branch office.  The program will be held Sunday July 20, 2008 at 1pm at the Germantown Poplar Avenue office located at 7700 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, TN.

The seminar will provide free professional advice and information to prospective buyers  who are considering a purchase in today’s tricky housing market.

“The theme of the seminar is “find your part in the American Dream,” said Cheryl N. Cohn, Agent from the Germantown Poplar office. “We want people to come and let us show them why now is the perfect time to buy.”

Joining Crye-Leike sales associates at the event will be representatives from the company’s “One Source” trusted business partners.  Magna Bank’s mortgage lending division and Realty Title & Escrow closing services will present information on available services.

“We are very excited and confident that the afternoon will be tremendously useful and informative to any buyer or first-time homebuyer who is unsure about getting into the housing market at this time,” said Cohn. “We want to take the mystery out of buying a home and help set aside fears or hesitation about going ahead with a move into a new home.”

Guest speakers at the seminar will include Agent Cheryl N. Cohn, Attorney Sean Collins, and Cindy Cooper from Magna Bank. Collins will be speaking on Hud 1, Deed of Trust, and Note. Cooper will discuss THDA loans, down payment assistance programs, and credit repair. Cohn will be speaking on why this is the best time to buy since 2001 and the importance location has on the value of a home.

“People need to remember real estate is local,” said Cohn. “You can’t look at national statistics and apply them to Shelby County. Just because it seems gloomy in other parts of the country, doesn’t mean it’s gloomy in Shelby County.”
