CRYE-LEIKE, REALTORS ANNOUNCES A UNITED WAY CAR WASH BEING HELD BY THE COMPANY?S HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS BRANCH OFFICE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE COMPANY?S 2008 UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

HOT SPRINGS, AR., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS is proud to announce that the company’s Hot Springs branch office will be hosting a United Way Car Wash with all proceeds going to benefit the United Way. This is one of many events being hosted by the company’s branch offices to raise funds for their 2008 United Way campaign.

The car wash will be held on Friday, June 13th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Hot Springs branch office located at 1420 Central Avenue, Suite A. The cost per vehicle is a $3.00 donation.

“We take for granted the advantages and good health that we enjoy, and sometimes we don’t stop to think about those less fortunate than ourselves,” said Toni Shaw, sales associate at the Hot Springs branch office. “Seeing the smiles on the faces of children and elderly really tugs at your heart strings. Many people like special needs children often fall through the cracks of the system and rely on the kindness of you and I to donate our time and money to fill the gap.”

Toni Shaw is organizing the car wash along with the help of Sheila Eakin who has been the office administrator for the last three years at Crye-Leike’s Hot Springs branch office.

Both Shaw and Eakin are dedicated to serving their community and have been involved in many community service projects over the past few years. They were both co-captains for the 2008 Cereal Drive. Shaw participated in the First United Methodist Church Outreach program from 2001-2003 and donated land for a new sub-division to Habitat for Humanity in 2008. Eakin participated in the 2006-2007 Cans for Kids drive and also served as a Captain and Co-Captain for the American Cancer Society from 2002 to 2006.

“We hope that through our efforts we can bring awareness to the community and inspire others to volunteer,” said Eakin. “When you look into the eyes of the elderly you see far more wisdom than most realize. The homebound seniors that are cared for through United Way are a mom, dad, or grandparent.”

Toni Shaw has been in the real estate business for eight years. She is a licensed sales associate assisting buyers and sellers in and around Garland County.
