OOLTEWAH, TN., – Crye-Leike, REALTORS is proud to announce that Irma L. Shepherd, ABR, GRI, has successfully earned her professional designation of Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). She is a Sales Associate with Crye-Leike based out of the company’s Ooltewah branch office located at 5913 Main Street, Suite 107 in Ooltewah Tennessee.

“In an effort to provide my clients with world-class service, I’ve earned my professional designation as a Certified Real Estate Specialist (CRS),” said Shepherd. “I chose to complete the courses because the training, mentoring and networking that is associated with the CRS designation will be one more way that I can decide on the right choices for my clients.”

The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is a prestigious designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. Realtors who receive the CRS designation have completed advanced courses and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate and have a proven track record of sales transactions that are required to earn the designation. Since 1977, the Council of Residential Specialists has awarded the CRS Designation to agents who meet its stringent requirements. There are only approximately 39,000 active CRS agents that have the title today.

In 2008 Shepherd transferred her real estate license back to Crye-Leike. Since 1998 Shepherd has been a licensed real estate sales associate in Tennessee and Georgia working with buyers and sellers in and around Hamilton County in Tennessee and the North Georgia region.  She is a residential real estate specialist with a focus on first time homebuyers.

Shepherd is an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) and a Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI), an e-pro specialist, and now a Certified Real Estate Specialist (CRS).  She is a member of the Chattanooga Association of Realtors (CAR), the Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

“The training that you get when you are earning your CRS designation gives you in-depth knowledge about how to do your best business planning, make listing presentations, negotiate and close transactions more smoothly, build a good referral business, network with other agents who have the title, and work in the buyers’ and sellers’ best interest,” said Shepherd.

Irma Shepherd lives in Chattanooga with her husband Charlie and they are active members of the East Brainerd Church of Christ where she is involved in teaching children’s classes and helping with other church activities.
