BENTONVILLE, AR., – Crye-Leike, Realtors Managing Broker Cassie Elliott enjoys her coffee, but even she never imagined how her affection for the drink could be good for business.

“Just about everyone I know is a regular coffee drinker, and many of them frequent the local coffee shops in the greater Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas region,” said Elliott.  “Turns out, it’s at one of my favorite coffee shops and cafes in Highfill where I realized ?coffee by the cup’ could be good for business.”

At the Village Market and Grill, located at 14939 W. Highway 12 in Highfill, you will now find Elliott’s likeness on some of the mugs proprietor MC Chitsazan uses to serve up coffee to his customers.  For Elliott, it’s one part “home town charm” and one part “pure marketing genius.”

“Mr. Chitsazan is a friend and great client of mine,” said Elliott.  “When I approached him with the idea of including mugs with my photo on them to serve up coffee to his customers, he was very supportive.”

While Elliott is the Managing Broker at the company’s Bentonville office, many of her clients come from the Highfill area. Highfill is a suburb of Bentonville and is home to the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport.

“I have had clients who were looking for property and also stopped by the caf? to have something to eat,” said Elliott.  “They love it and on occasion a client will even ask if they could buy the mug, and of course with my thanks Mr. Chitsazan just gives them away for free.”

On one occasion, Elliott recalls, her likeness on the mug made for a little good humor.

“There was one customer who almost got into trouble with his wife,” said Elliott “When the waitress asked him is he needed any cream and sugar, he replied that he already had his sugar and pointed to my picture on the mug.”

Elliott can’t predict how far her coffee mugs will take her business.

“I do consider it one of the best marketing and advertising ideas I’ve stumbled into, and so far the response has been amazing,” said Elliott.

So for now, Elliott will be making sure the Village Market & Grill in Rogers is stocked with plenty of her mugs? with the hopes that as customers warm up with coffee, they’ll warm up to the idea of Elliott if they ever decide to buy or sell a home.
