CRYE-LEIKE, REALTORS CAN SELL THEM AND BUILD THEM TOO!

BRENTWOOD, TN.- Crye-Leike, Realtors associates from branch offices in Gallatin and Hendersonville join forces to assist Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County in building a new home.

“We were thrilled to have the support of fellow associates on this build,” said John Prentiss, a Crye-Leike, Realtors Affiliate Broker and Treasurer of the Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County.  “It’s great when the professionals who help people buy and sell homes roll up their sleeves to actually help build a home too.”

Groundbreaking for the home was held on June 20, 2007.  The residence, a 12-hundred square foot, four bedroom, two bathroom home was completed in just two and a half months.

The Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County was joined by Crye-Leike, Realtors Gallatin branch associates John Reed, Michelle Simmons and her husband, Wendy Bahmed and her son, Marilyn Whiteand, Jaemy Chaney and her brother.  And from the Hendersonville office, Dianne Payne from Crye-Leike, Realtors owned Magna Bank.

The Crye-Leike, Associates and their relatives worked alongside numerous volunteers from Gallatin First United Methodist Church, and others, to literally make a comfortable residence appear almost overnight.

“It’s fair to say, building a habitat home is addictive,” said Prentiss. “The first time you see the tears streaming down the face of a new homeowner or the smile of a youngster who has never had a real room of his own, all the hard work and sweat seems like all too small a sacrifice.”

Dedication Day was held August 19, 2007.  Her 6 grandchildren, friends and volunteers joined new homeowner Renee Garrett as she received the keys to their new home.

Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County is in the early stages of another build in 2007.  If you would like to become involved with this worthwhile endeavor, please contact John Prentiss at 477-1478 or email jprentiss@aol.com.
