BRENTWOOD, TN.- If just the thought of delicious homemade sweets gets your mouth watering, the Realtors at the Crye-Leike, Realtors Mt. Juliet office want you to put your money where your mouth is next week.

On Tuesday, September 18 the office is hosting its 4th Annual Martin Cummings Sweet Tooth Auction to benefit the United Way of Wilson County and the Mt. Juliet Senior Center.

“Homemade pies, cakes, cookies and any other kind of delicious dessert you can imagine are going to be auctioned off to the highest bidder,” said Kim Rios, Managing Broker of the Crye-Leike, Realtors Mt. Juliet office. “We anticipate having anywhere from 50 to 75 desserts going up for bidding.”

Auction day will begin with breakfast, provided by Kathy Tomlinson of Realty Title & Escrow of Mt. Juliet, served-up started at 9:00am with the auction beginning at 10:00am.  Crye-Leike, Realtors own auctioneers; Jimmy Deatrick, Bob Lannom and Brandon Gunnel will go through the paces to secure the most money for ever dessert that goes on the auction block.

“We want to extend a personal invitation to everyone in the community to join in this fun tradition and come ready to bid and help us support United Way and the seniors of our community,” said Joann Pucciarelli, event organizer and Crye-Leike, Realtors Affiliate Broker.  “In previous years our Sweet Tooth Auction has raised as much as $5-thousand dollars.  With the public’s support I know we can exceed that total this year.”

The auction is named in memory of the late Martin Cummings who was the first Managing Broker of the Crye-Leike, Realtors Mt. Juliet office.  The beloved realtor was instrumental in launching the auction 6 years ago.

“We consider it a fitting tribute to a man who always gave back to our community and the senior citizens who we are raising funds for through the auction,” said Terri Mason, Event Organizer and Crye-Leike, Realtors Affiliate Broker. “This is actually the 6th year of our auction, which we renamed in Martin’s honor four years ago.  If he was alive today, Martin would be thrilled to see how the event has grown into such a beneficial tradition.”
