OLIVE BRANCH, MS.- A free pint of ice cream will go to every donor at the blood drive to benefit Lifeblood on Tuesday August 21st from 1 – 4pm at the Crye-Leike, Realtors office located at 6397 Goodman Road in Olive Branch.

Bruster’s Ice Cream is donating the cool treats.  And to go along with the yummy dessert “The Party Game” store is joining in with a special coupon for everyone who donates a pint.

“What better way to reward donors for their good deed than with a pint of ice cream,” said Tracy Kirkley, Crye-Leike, Realtors Olive Branch Managing Broker. “It’s a great treat thanks to the folks from Bruster’s for such a great cause, that could help to save a life.”

Since 1974 Lifeblood has been the Memphis community’s only full-service blood center and is the area’s leading provider of blood and blood components to area hospital.

During the summer months, the need for blood in local hospitals increases due to travel related injuries, outdoor accidents and scheduled surgeries.  At the same time, donations often decrease because regular donors are busy with travel and vacation plans.

“If you are 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds and are in generally good health, you can donate a pint for a delicious pint of Bruster’s Ice Cream” said Kirkley.  “It’s safe, simple and takes less than an hour.”

Lifeblood will have its blood mobile at the Crye-Leike, Realtor Plaza located at 6397 Goodman Road in Olive Branch from 1 – 4pm on Tuesday, August 21st

If you would like to call ahead and schedule an appointment time to donate during the blood drive, please contact Beth Langstaff, Olive Branch Crye-Leike, Realtors Office Manager at 662-895-8300 or 901-521-9736.
