MURFREESBORO, Tenn.?Crye-Leike, Realtors will participate in a second annual fundraiser for Rutherford County’s Pet Adoption and Welfare Service (PAWS) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on National Bring Your Pet to Work Day, June 22.  The event, known as Crye-Leike Goes to the Dogs for PAWS, will take place at the company’s branch office at 1139 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tenn. 37129.

The community is invited to stop by and meet Crye-Leike’s sales associate’s pets and enjoy grilled hot dogs and drinks.  There is no cost to attend, but guests are encouraged to make a donation of new pet related items (dog and cat food, litter, treats, and pet toys) or money.  Last year’s event raised $450.

PAWS, which is partially funded by Rutherford County, depends greatly on donations from the community to provide for the 9,000 animals that come through its doors on an annual basis.  The organization accepts stray animals brought to them by the public and goes into the community to collect animals at large. They provide food and shelter and work to find each of the animals a new home.

PAWS also works to control the over population of homeless animals by requiring all animals adopted from the shelter be spayed or neutered.
