Crye-Leike Associate Marie King Earns Broker License

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- The Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC) recently announced that Marie King of Crye-Leike, Realtors, has received her broker’s license after successfully passing the real estate broker licensure examination.


To become eligible for the examination, King met strict experience and education requirements as a broker candidate. Broker candidates must have held an active license as an affiliate broker for a minimum specified period and must have successfully completed 120 classroom hours of real estate education, 30 hours of which must be an office or brokerage management course taken at a TREC approved school.


King, a Hixson resident, is a full-time realtor affiliated with Crye-Leike’s Hixson branch office, located at 5870 Hwy 153. With six years of real estate experience, she serves the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in the greater Chattanooga area, specializing in real estate buyer representation, first-time homebuyers and investment properties, as well as assisting families relocating to the Chattanooga area.


She is a member of Crye-Leike’s Multi-Million Dollar club, a level of distinction that recognizes her annually selling in excess of $2 million in real estate sales. Her sales achievements are further exemplified as a recipient of the National Sales Leader Award in 2003, 2004 and 2005 as well as most recently being chosen for the 2006 Leadership Class with the Tennessee Association of Realtors. She is a member of the National, Tennessee and Chattanooga Associations of Realtors and is an active member of her local realtor association’s board of directors, and has also served as past chairperson of its Environmental Committee.


Within her office, King has promoted Community Awareness of the need to recycle, donate blood, assist the homeless and most recently is heading the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign in the month of May. The Crye-Leike Hixson office was presented the Community Service Award in 2004 and 2005, during this time King chaired the community events committee.


King, a member of Hixson United Methodist Church, resides in Hixson with her teenage children, Rachel and Nathan.
