11th Annual Crye-Leike Golf Tournament to Benefit Wings Cancer Foundation
Memphis, Tenn. – Golfers, it’s not too late to sign up for the 11th Annual Sherry Park Memorial Golf Tournament, to be held on Thurs., September 22, 2005, at the Memphis National Golf Club in Collierville, Tenn. The event will benefit the Wings Cancer Foundation at West Clinic in Memphis, Tenn. and is organized by Crye-Leike, Realtors’ Germantown/Poplar branch office.
The tournament is named in memory of Sherry Park, managing broker of Crye-Leike’s Germantown/Poplar branch office, who led the office’s sales team for nine years since its establishment in 1986 until 1995. When Sherry was diagnosed with cancer, she was instrumental in organizing Crye-Leike’s first golf tournament in 1994 to benefit cancer research. Upon her death in 1995, Crye-Leike’s Germantown/Poplar branch office continued the golf tournament by naming it in her memory with proceeds benefiting the Wings Cancer Foundation. To date, Crye-Leike, Realtors’ Germantown/Poplar branch office has raised over $ 107,000 for cancer research.
The cost is $100 per person, or $400 per team, which includes green fees, golf cart, goodie bag, driving range, lunch and refreshments. Sponsorships range from $600 to $1,250. Tee time is 12:30 p.m., with a live auction and awards presentation immediately following the tournament. Awards will include trophies and door prizes, which will be given to the winners of the one-day event. To register, or to become a sponsor, contact Co-Chairmen Dan Quinley or Sherry Hulen of Crye-Leike, Realtors in Germantown, Tenn. at 901/754-0800.
