Melonie Carideo Joins Leadership TAR

Chattanooga, Tenn. – Crye-Leike, Realtors announces that Melonie Carideo of its East Brainerd branch office has been selected to attend the 2005 Tennessee Association of Realtors’ Leadership TAR, a 5-year-old leadership development program. Carideo is one of 12 Realtors selected from applicants across Tennessee.

Leadership TAR began in April and continues to meet over the summer. Graduation is held in September. Realtor trainers, officials and delegates equip Leadership TAR participants with the knowledge, skills and personal network to achieve success as a leader in their community.

“This program has been very successful in producing leaders for our Realtor organization,” says Pug Scoville, spokesperson for the Tennessee Association of Realtors.

Carideo, a Hixson resident, is a full-time broker affiliated with Crye-Leike’s East Brainerd branch office, located at 1510 Gunbarrel Road. With over five years of real estate sales experience, Carideo serves the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in Hamilton and Bradley counties. She specializes in real estate buyer representation, first-time homebuyers, investment properties as well as assisting families relocating to the Greater Chattanooga area. She also serves as manager of Crye-Leike’s Career Development & Recruitment Divisions –  Southeast Tennessee Region.

She is a member of Crye-Leike’s Multi-Million Dollar Club, a level of distinction that recognizes her annually selling in excess of $2 million in real estate sales. Her sales achievements are further exemplified as a recipient of the National Sales Leader Award in 2002 and 2003 as well as a 2003 recipient of Crye-Leike’s Relocation Gold Award for closing the most incoming and outgoing referrals.

She has earned several nationally recognized professional designations. Carideo is an accredited buyer representative (ABR), the benchmark of excellence in real estate buyer representation, and a certified residential specialist (CRS), the highest credential awarded to Realtors in the residential sales field.

Carideo is a member of the National, Tennessee and Chattanooga Associations of Realtors. As an active member of her local Realtor association’s board of directors, she also has served as chairman of its Partners in Education Committee for the past three years as well as a member of its Building Task Force.

Within her community, Carideo is an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Suitcase for Kids. Her most noted achievement in the name of community service is founding and operating Women Helping Other Women (WHOW), a program to help single mothers rise above welfare and government housing so they can re-enter the workforce.
