Crye-Leike’s Ellis Gardner Becomes a Broker

Chattanooga, Tenn. – The Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC) recently announced that Ellis Gardner of Crye-Leike, Realtors, has received his broker’s license after successfully passing the real estate broker licensure examination.

To become eligible for the examination, Gardner met strict experience and education requirements as a broker candidate. Broker candidates must have held an active license as an affiliate broker for a minimum specified period and must have successfully completed 120 classroom hours of real estate education, 30 hours of which must be an office or brokerage management course taken at a TREC approved school.

Gardner, a Signal Mountain resident, is a full-time broker associated with Crye-Leike’s Signal Mountain branch office, located at 1210 Taft Highway in Signal Mountain. With over five years of real estate experience, Gardner is licensed in Tennessee and Georgia. He serves the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in Hamilton County, as well as within the surrounding counties of Bradley and Sequatchie in Tennessee and Catoosa County in Georgia. Gardner is a member of the National, Tennessee and Greater Chattanooga Associations of Realtors.

Gardner holds several national professionally recognized designations. He holds the accredited buyer representative (ABR) designation, the benchmark of excellence in real estate buyer representation. Gardner also specializes in residential brokerage as a graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI). He is a member of Crye-Leike’s Multi-Million Dollar Club for individually closing over $2 million worth of real estate annually.

Prior to his real estate career, Gardner was a professionally licensed electrical engineer for 14 years. He received his degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, where he played football as offensive lineman and was named twice to the Academic All-American Football team by the NCAA. He went on to become a professional football player for the National Football League (NFL) as offensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Oilers (known now as the Tennessee Titans).
