Crye-Leike Participates In Upcoming JazzFest To Recruit Needed Volunteers for Habitat

Nashville, Tenn. – It’s a different day on the job for Crye-Leike sales associates Steve Holeman, Connie Shelton and Chris Williams who have secured a Crye-Leike information booth at the upcoming Main Street JazzFest 2005 celebrations, held the May 6-7, 2005 weekend.

Most real estate agents spend a large portion of their day showing property in the car, but these Realtors have thought outside the box and chose to find a new venue in which to promote the trade they know best, while at the same time help local charities in the area with their volunteer needs.

The Crye-Leike booth will take donations and volunteer sign-ups for Habitat for Humanity’s spring building projects in support of Crye-Leike’s long collaboration with Habitat for Humanity. Connie Shelton will be recruiting for Habitat’s Women’s Build projects, built solely by women.

Affiliated with Crye-Leike’s Murfreesboro branch office, this three-some will take two-hour shifts staffing the Crye-Leike booth in the business section of the fair. They will offer free real estate information, focusing on home sale preparation and marketing strategies. School zoning maps will be available to help clarify recent zoning issues.

Also represented at the booth will be local lending companies 1st Trust Bank for Savings, First Tennessee Bank, Commerce Mortgage Group, and Professional Mortgage Group, all of whom will provide free lending information.

Drawings for prizes will be held hourly throughout the day with jazz CDs, BBQ wings and Crye-Leike paraphernalia as loot, says Crye-Leike organizer Steve Holeman.

“It’s just a great day to hang out on the square,” he said. “People have got their kids and their dogs. There’s a lot of public camaraderie.”
