Crye-Leike Opens Franchise in Savannah, Tenn.

Nashville, Tenn. – Crye-Leike, the nation’s 10th largest real estate company and the largest in Tennessee and the Mid-South, has added a franchise office in Savannah, Tenn., Hardin County, one of 25 independent real estate companies to join the Crye-Leike franchise network.

Shaw-Rinks Real Estate of Savannah, Tenn. has recently signed a franchise agreement with Crye*Leike Franchises Inc., (, the real estate franchiser subsidiary of Crye-Leike, Realtors.  The real estate firm’s new name is Crye*Leike Savannah. Their office will remain at 540 Wayne Rd. in Savannah, Tenn. and will continue to serve the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in the Savannah community as Shaw-Rinks Real Estate has done for the past five years.

Crye*Leike Savannah, one of 11 Crye-Leike franchises in Tennessee, is jointly owned by a business partnership, Crye-Leike Group, LLC, comprised of five owners: Libby Adams, Carol Crunk, David Harbin, Randy Rinks and Hank Thomas. Together, they have a combined real estate experience of over 25 years.

The franchise agreement included the purchase and addition of a second Crye*Leike branch office within Hardin County. Crye-Leike Group purchased an existing Crye*Leike franchise in Pickwick Dam, Tenn., called Crye*Leike Pickwick Lake, located at 25 Old South Rd.

Savannah and Pickwick Lake, Tenn. in Hardin County are retreat favorites for many Mid-Southerners because of the easy access from their hometowns. Pickwick Lake and Savannah are located approximately 100 miles from Memphis, Tenn. and 145 miles from Nashville, Tenn., with Pickwick Lake converging at the Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama state lines. Hardin County has some of the best fresh water fishing venues in the world. Anglers from across the country flock to try their luck on game fish in Pickwick Lake and the Tennessee River. Ranked as one of the top bass fishing spots in the United States, Pickwick is renowned for its small mouth and large mouth catches.

The area has a number of championship golf courses, including Shiloh Falls Golf Club, designed by U.S. Open Champion Jerry Pate with a scenic signature hole at No. 15. Also minutes away is Shiloh National Military Park, the first major Civil War battle in the war’s western theater.

The two branch offices, just 12 miles apart, will have a combined sales force of 17 sales associates, with room for growth, said company officials.  They will serve the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in and around Hardin County and the surrounding counties of Decatur, McNairy, and Wayne in West Tennessee, as well as northeastern Mississippi and northwestern Alabama. The offices specialize in resort properties and retirement homes as well as outdoor recreation planning because of the partners’ joint affiliation with Pickwick Outdoors, a separate company that specializes in corporate conventions.

Randy Rinks and his partners became affiliated with the Crye-Leike franchise system because “Crye-Leike has a strong brand awareness in the Mid-South and an infrastructure in place that is like no other in the area.”

“We needed to become affiliated with a real estate franchise that would give us an advantage above the rest,” said Rinks on the group’s decision to go with Crye-Leike.

“Becoming affiliated with a company like Crye-Leike allows us to extend Crye-Leike’s one stop shopping concept to our clients. For example, Crye*Leike Savannah and Pickwick Lake will offer relocation services, a comprehensive network of services that assists families, individuals and corporate groups relocating to virtually any community in the United States or abroad. And, our offices will have our real estate listings posted on the region’s Multiple Listing Service as well as Crye-Leike’s Web site (, the company’s most powerful marketing tool that registers over 20 million hits a month.”
