Crye-Leike’s Annual Drive Raises $30,000 for Youth Villages
Memphis, Tenn. – Crye-Leike, Realtors, the largest real estate company in Tennessee and the Mid-South, displayed its corporate commitment to the communities it serves with a recent check presentation to Youth Villages for $30,000 from its 23rd annual Campaign for Children, an annual Crye-Leike tradition since 1981 that has raised in excess of $350,000 company wide for Youth Villages.
Monies collected during Crye-Leike’s Campaign for Children were used to purchase holiday gifts for the children of Youth Villages and to support its mentoring program throughout the year.
Crye-Leike’s Campaign for Children is an in-house holiday fundraiser involving its 1,300 sales associates in Memphis who purchase holiday greeting cards designed by Youth Villages’ children for distribution to their clients and friends during the Christmas season.
The holiday card program spans a distribution within Shelby, Fayette and Tipton counties in Tennessee; Crittendon County in Arkansas; and DeSoto County in Mississippi.
All proceeds raised are designated toward the Chris Crye Fund in memory of real estate broker Chris Crye, an active volunteer and supporter of Youth Villages, who experienced an untimely death in 1998. Chris was the son of Crye-Leike co-founder and CEO Harold E. Crye.
“At Crye-Leike, we strive to be good corporate citizens by making community relations a part of our corporate culture,” says Joyce Friedman, public relations director. “Each of our 81 branch and franchise offices are committed to enhancing the quality of life in their communities by holding community programs and fundraisers in their area.”
