Crye-Leike’s Jimmy Settle Takes Course on Land Planning

Nashville, Tenn. –  Jimmy Settle of Crye-Leike, Realtors in Clarksville, Tenn. has completed the Realtors Land Institute’s course on creative land planning.

Settle is a sales associate affiliated with Crye-Leike’s Clarksville Sango branch office, located at 2204 Madison Street in Clarksville. He serves buyers and sellers in Montgomery County as well as in the surrounding counties of Robertson and Stewart.

Settle, a 12-year real estate veteran, is president of the Tennessee Chapter of the Realtors Land Institute and a member of the National and Clarksville Associations of Realtors.

“My eyes and mind were opened by the concepts taught by national designer and land planner David Jensen,” Settle said.  “Jensen has created and planned communities and neighborhoods all over the United States, and in Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, the Phillipines and Australia.  Mr. Jensen’s concept of reducing sprawl and using smart growth and green growth to create neighborhoods and communities versus subdivisions was very appealing.”

The Realtor Land Institute’s course included topics on:  land development proforma`s, quick development budget systems, site analysis, built green communities, resort developments and winning community support.

Settle, an accredited land consultant (ALC), is one of only nine in Tennessee and 900 nation wide who hold that honor. To attain this distinction, Settle met stringent experience and knowledge requirements in the intricacies of land transactions which has prepared him to assist buyers and sellers in making informed real estate decisions.

Accredited land consultants are members of the RLI Land Network, a business network of over 1,200 land specialists through North America. ALC members also belong to the National Association of Realtors and subscribe the Realtors’ Code of Ethics as well as to RLI standards of conduct.
