Crye-Leike Agents Excel in Marketing Premier Properties: Monique Lea & Claire Smith

Chattanooga, Tenn. – Crye-Leike, Realtors announces that two of its sales associates were recently awarded the company’s certified premier properties specialist (CPPS) designation which signifies excellence in marketing higher priced and estate properties in the Greater Chattanooga area. They are among 91 Crye-Leike sales associates company wide who have achieved this distinction.

They are: Monique Lea of Crye-Leike’s Downtown branch office; and, Claire Smith of Crye-Leike’s Signal Mountain branch office.

“The CPPS designation, the benchmark of excellence in premier properties services, demonstrates to the public and to prospective clients in this high end market that our sales associates have taken steps to continue their education in marketing premier properties, and have the proven experience and training to deliver the highest level of ethical and professional service,” said Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer.

Crye-Leike’s Certified Premier Properties Specialist Program includes completion of a highly specialized two-day training course on architecture, custom construction, insurance, appraisal, finance issues and interior and exterior design.

Sales associates also must meet strict elective and experience requirements, one of which includes selling higher priced and estate properties.

The luxury home market appears to be expanding, according to a report by the Harvard University Joint Center for Housing Studies. They report that the number of “million-dollar” homes in the last decade grew 150 percent more than the total number of U.S. homeowners. Luxury, condos, coops and secondary residences were not included, indicating that the true growth rate of “million-dollar” homes is much higher.

Monique Lea is a licensed real estate agent in Tennessee and Georgia who serves the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in and around Hamilton County in Tenn. and in Walker and Dade counties in Georgia. Claire Smith, a resident of Signal Mountain for 18 years, now resides in North Chattanooga. Holding a broker license, she markets residential properties to buyers and sellers in Hamilton County, specializing in first-time homebuyers, neighborhood homes on Signal Mountain, renovated homes in North Chattanooga and lake front properties. She is a member of Crye-Leike’s Multi-Million Club that recognizes her annual sales achievement in individually selling in excess of $2 million. In addition to attaining her CPPS designation, Smith holds the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) designation, which signifies her specialization in residential and non-residential brokerage. Smith also recently completed continuing education studies to obtain the accredited buyers representation (ABR) designation, excelling in buyer representation. Smith is a member of the National, Tennessee and Chattanooga Associations of Realtors. Within her community, she is on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Alumni Council and is an active member at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.
