Crye-Leike’s Nancy Guy Named State President of Tenn. CRS Chapter

Memphis, Tenn. –  Nancy Guy of Crye-Leike, Realtors has been elected Tennessee Chapter president of the Council of Residential Specialists, a state membership of over 800 certified residential specialist (CRS) designees in Tennessee who hold the highest credential awarded to Realtors in the residential sales field. Only 4 percent of all Realtors? nationwide have earned this distinction.

Guy has been very active in the Memphis CRS Sub-Chapter, holding every office and culminating as its president in 1999. She still remains active as a member of its board of directors. Her dedication to the real estate industry is exemplified in her recent appointment as CRS’ 2004 state chapter president.

The CRS designation is a nationally recognized professional designation of the Council of Residential Specialists, a not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors? (NAR). Its membership is composed of nearly 40,000 designees and candidates.

The CRS program provides Realtors? with the skills needed to render greater and broader services to help clients maximize profits and minimize costs in the home buying or selling transaction process.

To earn the CRS credential, candidates must demonstrate professional expertise in the field of residential real estate, have a proven track record of real estate transactions and an advanced education in related areas with an emphasis in finance, technology and marketing.

Guy, a resident of Germantown, is affiliated with Crye-Leike’s Germantown-Poplar branch office. She serves the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in and around Shelby County, specializing in residential properties and relocation.

Within Crye-Leike, Guy is a member of its Multi-Million Dollar Club, a membership of over 600 Crye-Leike sales associates company wide who are recognized annually for individually selling in excess of $2 million and meeting other stringent requirements as set forth by Crye-Leike to achieve its annual total sales volume of $ 3.66 billion.

A Realtor and full-time sales associate for the past 21 years, Guy is a member of the National, Tennessee and Memphis Area Associations of Realtors. She currently is a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors’ (MAAR) board of directors, serving a two-year term. In 2002, she was honored by her peers as being selected MAAR’s Realtor Associate of the Year, out of a membership of 3,600 Realtors.

On a state level, Guy is a trustee of the Tennessee Real Estate Educational Foundation (TREEF), the educational arm of the Tennessee Association of Realtors and a national leader and innovator in instructor training for the real estate industry.
