Crye-Leike, Realtors Moves Its Hot Springs Office to New Improved Facility

Hot Springs, Ark. –  Crye-Leike, Realtors’ Hot Springs branch office is now in a better position to serve Garland County’s real estate needs with its recent move into a new $1.5 million state of the art facility, announces Bob Benscoter, managing broker and sales manager of Crye-Leike’s Hot Springs branch office.

The office moved its current sales force of 45 sales associates in April 2004 into a new company-owned business park, located at 1420 Central Avenue, on the most popular corridor of Hot Springs and approximately 1.5 miles north of Oaklawn Race Track.

The new Crye-Leike Hot Springs office occupies 6,000 square feet of the 13,000 sq. ft. strip center, leaving enough room to expand its sales force to 60 seasoned agents, notes Benscoter.  Company officials plan to lease the remaining 7,000 sq. ft. to real estate related businesses such as a mortgage company or title & escrow company, a deviation from current market trends for strip center tenants, says local sources.

Crye-Leike’s new facility utilizes “smart technology,” says Benscoter. “By far, the most sophisticated high tech real estate space in Central Arkansas. Every Crye-Leike agent becomes easily accessible through our company’s advanced voice messaging system and every work space in our new building is designed to accommodate the needs of our independent agents who are tech savvy.”

All of Crye-Leike’s agent offices, desks and workstations have computer accessibility to the Internet, high speed DSL. Agents can bring their own personal computers or Palm Pilots, or utilize the firm’s own personal computers. A network card allows the agents’ personal computers to blend with the Crye-Leike system, interacting with the company’s Intranet and Internet.

Along with the convenience of being open seven days a week for its customers, Crye-Leike’s Hot Springs office also offers the real estate community the convenience of using its appointment center, the only one of its kind in the area that captures every potential showing opportunity.

Crye-Leike’s appointment center is staffed and equipped to handle receiving a sales call from any real estate agent in the area who wants to show a Crye-Leike property and is able to coordinate those showings for the agent from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. each day of the week. Crye-Leike’s centralized appointment center receives an average of 1,500 calls daily. Crye-Leike properties for sale span 40 cities within Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Georgia.

Crye-Leike entered Central Arkansas’ real estate market in June 2002, with its regional headquarters established in Little Rock. In November 2002, Crye-Leike acquired Prudential Lakefront Real Estate to have an immediate presence in Hot Springs, becoming the second Crye-Leike office to operate in the Central Arkansas Region. Six other Crye-Leike office openings followed in Central Arkansas in Benton, Bryant, Conway, Little Rock, Maumelle and North Little Rock, joining established offices in Jonesboro and West Memphis.

Within one year’s time, Crye-Leike reports that its real estate sales force in Hot Springs grew the business to over $37.9 million in sales volume in 2003, representing over 325 closed transaction sides.

“When we acquired Prudential Lakefront Real Estate, we had intentions to move the office to a bigger location to increase our agent base, but never dreamed that the growth in our sales force and business would happen so fast,” says Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer.

Crye-Leike’s managing broker attributes his office’s growth to Crye-Leike’s business philosophy and model of providing customers with a one-stop home buying and selling experience.

“Crye-Leike’s founders, Harold Crye and Dick Leike, built Crye-Leike as a full service real estate company that focuses on customer service, helping its customers with more than just buying or selling their houses,” says Benscoter.

“So, in addition to being a residential and commercial real estate brokerage, Crye-Leike and its many companies offer consumers instant access to a full menu of personalized pre- and post-occupancy services. Simply put, when you deal with a Crye-Leike sales associate, you are dealing with a team member who has the ability to offer services like mortgage, title, insurance, home warranty, and home services, essentially everything a client needs to complete a real estate transaction.”

“We believe marketing determines the speed at which houses sell, so we’ve positioned Crye-Leike as the company that markets listings to more buyers than any of our competitors,” says Mike Frase, marketing director.

Crye-Leike’s Web site (www.crye-leike.com) has become the national resource for real estate, displaying over 70,000 residential and commercial properties for sale a day within six states Crye-Leike has a market presence. Those states include Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Mississippi.

Crye-Leike’s Web site has unique on-line search capabilities that have contributed to increasing its Web traffic from a mere 300,000 hits a month to well over 20 million and 500,000 unique visitors a month, notes Gurtej Sodhi, chief information officer.  “And, there’s no end in sight.”

Such search features include Crye-Leike’s own “Virtual Agent,” whereby consumers enter their personal search criteria and whenever a new listing meeting their search criteria becomes available, they immediately receive an e-mail notification. “That way, they literally know a property is on the market the moment it becomes available, when hours and even minutes can mean the difference between getting the home of your dreams or seeing someone buying it instead of you,” says Sodhi.

Crye-Leike Web browsers can also get a sneak preview of the inside of a property without ever leaving their desks through the use of “virtual tours,” an Internet enhancement agents use when listing properties on Crye-Leike’s Web site. A virtual tour offers a 360-degree panoramic movie tour of a property, giving consumers a wall-to-wall view of every featured room from the convenience of their computer.

Crye-Leike’s “one-stop shopping” business model has set it apart from the rest and has escalated the company to become one of the nation’s fastest growing real estate companies of today, ranking the Memphis-based company as 10th among the country’s largest residential real estate brokers and No. 6 among independent firms.

Crye-Leike (www.crye-leike.com), a full service real estate company for 27 years, has a network of over 2,800 sales associates and 71 branch and franchise offices located in 38 counties throughout a six-state southern region in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Kentucky and Florida.  Crye-Leike attained sales of $3.66 billion and 24,953 closed transaction sides corporate wide in 2003.

Crye-Leike of Arkansas, Inc. has 10 branch offices and two franchise offices with a sales force of over 200 sales associates who market residential, commercial, investment property, farms and acreage sales in eight (8) counties in Arkansas: Craighead, Crittendon, Faulkner, Garland, Independence, Mississippi, Pulaski and Saline.
