Crye-Leike’s Quarterly Meeting a Venue for Its CEO to Announce Score of Big 10
Nashville, Tenn. – “We’re in the Big 10,” exclaims Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer of Crye-Leike, Realtors. Those will be Crye’s first words as he addresses his 2,400 agents who will be attending Crye-Leike’s July quarterly meetings, held on Tues., July 8, 2003 in Memphis and Tues., July 15 in Nashville.
“It’s not football we’re talking about, but real estate – Crye-Leike is the national champs of real estate in the Southern Region,” says Crye.
Crye-Leike was recently ranked No. 10 among the nation’s largest and most successful residential brokerage firms.
A recent report ranked Crye-Leike No. 10 among the 500 largest residential real estate brokerage firms in the United States, three notches up from its No. 13 ranking last year. It further ranked Crye-Leike No. 6 in the nation among the 133 largest privately owned and independent real estate companies, a move up from its previous No. 8 ranking last year.
The research report was prepared and recently released by REAL Trends, Inc., the leading provider of information and analysis for the residential real estate industry, (www.realtrends.com). These rankings were based on Crye-Leike achieving 22,029 closed transaction sides among its 51 branch offices in 2002.
Crye-Leike’s July quarterly meetings also will feature keynote speaker David Knox, a nationally recognized speaker, author and real estate sales trainer on high volume sales production.
Crye-Leike’s Nashville Regional meeting, which attracts 1,200 Crye-Leike sales associates from the Middle Tennessee and Kentucky regions as well as the Greater Chattanooga and North Georgia areas, will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will be held at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs Conference Center in Franklin, Tenn.
“Professional development of our sales force is continually offered and promoted within Crye-Leike to ensure that our sales associates are bringing quality expertise to their transactions,” says Crye.
David Knox is president of David Knox Productions, Inc. (www.davidknox.com), a training company in Minneapolis, Minn. that provides real estate professionals with practical business and sales strategies through cutting edge training programs and seminars designed to increase productivity while maintaining their personal lives. As an authority on pricing, negotiating and selling, Knox will address the Crye-Leike group on gaining the competitive edge through successful listing techniques and the art of persuasion.
As a certified speaking professional, Knox presents 90 seminars a year to more than 20,000 salespeople internationally. He is the producer of “Pricing Your Home to Sell,” one of the best selling consumer videos in North America, and also authors articles for many popular real estate publications.
In-house training further encourages sales associates to meet and exceed buyers’ and sellers’ expectations, says Kristin Pendergraft, Crye-Leike’s Middle Tennessee training director of Crye-Leike College.
“Sellers look to their listing agent primarily to help them find a buyer, shorten the time their house is on the market, and set the right selling price,” says Pendergraft. “Buyers continue to look to their sales associates primarily to help them find the right home, negotiate price and complete the paperwork. These are the basics of real estate transactions, but it’s the basics that are sometimes taken for granted and need to be continually reinforced.”
