Crye-Leike’s Claire Smith Excels in Residential Brokerage
Chattanooga, Tennessee – Crye-Leike, Realtors announces that one of its sales associates, Claire Smith, has been awarded the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) designation by the Tennessee Association of Realtors.
The GRI designation, under the auspices of the National Association of Realtors, is a national professional designation that signifies mastery of a specific and intensive program of classroom instruction in various aspects of residential brokerage.
A resident for 18 years on Signal Mountain and now residing in North Chattanooga, Smith is affiliated with Crye-Leike’s Signal Mountain branch office. She markets residential properties to buyers and sellers in Hamilton County, specializing in first-time homebuyers, neighborhood homes on Signal Mountain, renovation homes in North Chattanooga and lake front properties.
Smith, an affiliate broker, is a member of Crye-Leike’s Multi-Million Club which recognizes her annual sales achievement in individually selling in excess of $1 million and meeting other stringent ethical and professional requirements as set forth by Crye-Leike to achieve its annual total sales volume of nearly $3 billion.
A member of the Chattanooga Association of Realtors, Smith also is an active member within her community. Currently, she is on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Alumni Council and is an active member at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. She recently served as an office campaign coordinator for Crye-Leike’s Signal Mountain United Way Campaign, securing 100 percent participation. She also was a member of the Parent Councils for McCallie School and Girls’ Preparatory School.
Prior to joining Crye-Leike in 1999, Smith was in education within the public and private school systems in Chattanooga over a period of 12 years.
Through the Realtor institute program, real estate professionals study marketing, ethics, contracts, finance, technology and other real estate topics. The GRI program provides real estate professionals with the skills needed to render greater and broader services to the public and to prospective clients. Successful graduation from the GRI program in Tennessee requires successful completion of at least 90 hours of course work and five written examinations on various aspects of the courses taken.
The GRI program curriculum and standards are governed by the National Association of Realtors, the nation’s largest professional trade association, representing over 750,000 members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry. More than 35,000 Realtors in North America hold the GRI designation. Currently, over 3,000 Realtors in Tennessee have earned the GRI designation, with several thousand more having taken one or more courses in the program series.
