Mary Jane Hooton of Crye-Leike's downtown branch office in Chattanooga was awarded her accredited buyer representative (ABR) designation.

Chattanooga, Tennessee – Crye-Leike, Realtors announces that one of its sales associates, Mary Jane Hooton, has been awarded the accredited buyer representative (ABR) designation by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors.

The ABR designation, the benchmark of excellence in real estate buyer representation, demonstrates to clients that she has taken steps to continue her education in the field of buyer representation, and has the proven experience and training to deliver ethical and professional service to real estate buyers.

Among Crye-Leike’s 2,300 sales force, Hooten is among a select few who has achieved this distinction. There are 327 Crye-Leike sales associates who hold the ABR designation, with a total of 1,498 active ABR members in Tennessee.

Hooton, an affiliate broker and multi-million dollar producer, is affiliated with the Crye-Leike’s downtown branch office.  Her outstanding sales performance has ranked her among Crye-Leike’s Top 25 producers within Crye-Leike’s Greater Chattanooga region. Hooton specializes in selling investment and premier properties, land and waterfront properties. She is a member of the National, Tennessee and Chattanooga Associations of Realtors.

Hooton works as a real estate team with Crye-Leike sales associate Marty Mauldin and together they market residential and commercial properties to buyers and sellers in Hamilton, Bradley and Marion counties in Tennessee and Catoosa, Dade and Walker counties in Georgia as well as to those relocating to the Chattanooga or North Georgia areas.

Hooton also holds the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) designation by the Tennessee Association of Realtors, under the auspices of the National Association of Realtors. The GRI designation is a national professional designation that signifies mastery in various aspects of residential brokerage.

Before joining Crye-Leike, Hooten worked in administration for a local private equity firm for 10 years.

The requirements for this coveted ABR designation include a comprehensive two-day course in buyer representation, a written examination on legal and practical aspects of client representation and practical experience in the field of buyer representation.

The National Association of Realtors is the nation’s largest professional trade association, representing nearly 720,000 members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry.
