Franchise Office Opens in Decatur, Tennessee

Nashville, Tenn. –  Crye-Leike, Realtors, the largest real estate company in Tennessee and the Mid-South, announces the opening of a franchise office in Decatur, Tenn., Meigs County, making it one of eight Crye-Leike franchises company wide and the fifth Crye-Leike franchise in Tennessee. Meigs County is ranked as one of the fourth fastest growing counties in the state.

The Decatur Crye-Leike franchise, sold to owner and managing broker Roscoe Kasior, is named Crye*Leike Roslin Realty. Its office is located at 17869 Highway 58 North and accommodates up to 12 sales associates. Specializing in residential and commercial real estate sales, Crye*Leike Roslin Realty will serve buyers and sellers in Meigs, Rhea, McMinn, Monroe, Bradley, Polk and Roane counties in Tennessee.  Three sales associates have currently joined the new real estate firm: Susan Davis, Missy Millard and Dottye Riggins, all of Meigs County.

Decatur, the county seat, is located in the southeastern part of Tennessee, 45 miles northeast of Chattanooga and on the west side of Interstate 75. “Retirees are starting to discover Meigs County, ” said Kasior. The attraction is credited to the county having the fourth lowest property tax rate in the state, $1.83 per $100 of assessed value.

According to the latest statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau, the population of Meigs County as of 2000 is 11,086. Meigs County experienced a 38 percent increase in population growth between 1990 and 2000.

The Tennessee River is the dominant landscape feature of Meigs County, an historic county rich in Cherokee Indian heritage and a vacation haven that boasts two rivers, two lakes, a dam and a wildlife refuge that is one of the most important stops for migrating Sandhill cranes in eastern North America.    Crye-Leike has five franchise offices in Tennessee located in Grundy, Hamblen, Hardin, Meigs and Roane counties.
