Crye-Leike Secures Franchise in Mississippi
Memphis, Tenn. – Crye-Leike, the largest real estate company in Tennessee and the Mid-South, has sold a Crye-Leike franchise in Mississippi, Crye*Leike Wilson Realty, making it one of seven Crye-Leike franchises company wide.
The Crye-Leike franchise, sold to owner and managing broker Kenneth L. Wilson of Wilson Realty in New Albany, Mississippi, is located in north Mississippi within Union County, an hour’s drive from Memphis, Tenn. In addition to Union County, Crye*Leike Wilson Realty also will serve home buyers and sellers in Ponotoc, Lee, Prentiss, Tippah, Alcorn, Benton, Marshall and LaFayette counties in Mississippi. Its sales associates will specialize in residential home sales, relocation assistance for corporate transfers, property management, agricultural land sales as well as buying and selling timber.
Wilson doesn’t find it unusual for a real estate company to be involved in buying and selling timber with a land purchase. “It is frequently done in this area,” said Wilson. “Valuing property is determined by how much timber is on the property which determines the selling price. Once the land is purchased, many new land owners want to immediately take advantage of the land’s true worth and start by harvesting some of its timber.” Major timber types in the area are oak and pine.
Crye-Leike has five branch and franchise offices in three counties in Mississippi: DeSoto, Lee and Union counties. Crye-Leike’s four company-owned branch offices are located in Hernando, Olive Branch and Southaven, all in DeSoto County, and one in Tupelo, Lee County.
Crye*Leike Wilson Realty is located at 720 West Bankhead Street, on the west side of New Albany near Highway 178. Its office accommodates up to eight sales associates. Four sales associates have currently joined the new firm: Julian and Stacy Carroll, Angie Bradford and Lee Ann Wilson.
Husband and wife team Julian and Stacy Carroll are lifelong residents of Mississippi. Julian brings to Crye*Leike Wilson Realty over 20 years of sales experience while previously being affiliated with Carroll and Thompson Realty in Jackson, Tenn. Stacy was public relations manager for Community Elder Care Service in Tupelo, Miss. for the past five years.
Angie Bradford was with Wilson Realty for the past year before the firm’s new franchise affiliation with Crye-Leike. A graduate of the University of Mississippi and W.P. Daniels High School, she is licensed in Tennessee and Mississippi and specializes in residential sales.
Lee Ann Wilson is licensed in Mississippi and specializes in residential sales. Before joining Crye*Leike Wilson Realty, she was a registered nurse for six years.
Kenneth Wilson entered the real estate market four years ago. Prior to entering the real estate industry, he served as terminal manager for Watkins & Shepard Trucking Inc. where he managed a fleet of 700 trucks. “Owning my own real estate company has always been a dream for me,” said Wilson. ” Purchasing a franchise through Crye-Leike has provided me with the resources and support I needed to give my real estate company a jump start as a new business.”
