Sixth Annual Crye-Leike Golf Tournament to Benefit Wings Cancer Foundation

Memphis, Tenn. – Golfers, it’s not to late to sign up for the Sixth Annual Sherry Park Memorial Golf Scramble on Thurs., September 13, 2001, at Stonebridge Golf Course. The event, sponsored by Crye-Leike, Realtors and the Hank Park Trust, will benefit the Wings Cancer Foundation at West Clinic in Memphis, Tenn.

Sherry Park was managing broker of Crye-Leike’s Germantown branch office for nine years which was established in 1986. When Sherry was diagnosed with cancer, she was instrumental in organizing Crye-Leike’s first golf tournament in 1994 to benefit cancer research. Upon her death in 1995, Crye-Leike’s Germantown branch office continued the golf tournament by naming it in her memory with proceeds benefiting the Wings Cancer Foundation. To date, the Sherry Park Memorial Golf Scramble has raised over $ 40,000.

The cost is $75 per person or $300 per team which includes green fees, golf cart, goodie bag, driving range, lunch and refreshments. The field will be limited to the first 144 players per shotgun times of 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Trophies and hole prizes will be awarded to the winners of the one-day event.
