Construction Begins on Office Building in Brentwood, Tennessee

Nashville, Tenn. –  Crye-Leike has begun construction of a 13,100 square foot office building in Brentwood, Tenn. near the southeast corner of Granny White and Old Hickory Blvd.  The single story building will accommodate the rapidly growing Nashville regional office of Crye-Leike Commercial Real Estate Brokerage & Property Management.

Crye-Leike Commercial Real Estate Brokerage & Property Management will occupy 7,000 square feet, moving from its previous office location at 130 Wilson Pike in Brentwood. Crye-Leike has secured Realty Title & Escrow Co., Inc. as tenants to lease 3,000 sq. ft. They will establish their headquarters at this new location, moving from 5120 Virginia Way in Maryland Farms Office Park. Realty Title & Escrow Co. has nine branch offices that serve the real estate community, including builders and developers, in 22 counties in Middle Tennessee and the Greater Memphis area. The remaining 3,000 sq. ft. is available for lease as retail and office space.

Total project cost, including land and construction costs, is estimated at $1.5 million, with financing provided by SouthTrust Bank of Nashville, Tenn.  Projected completion date is February 2002.

The 1.46 acre site is located at 1187 Old Hickory Blvd, across the street from Bethel World Outreach Center and borders, but is not a part of, neighboring Maryland Farms Office Park. With the property resting on both Williamson and Davidson county lines, the office building will have a Brentwood address but remain under the development jurisdiction of Metro-Davidson County. Harold E. Crye, chief executive office of Crye-Leike and owner of the property, plans to sell .253 acres of the site to the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for use in widening the road in front of the property.

Architect for the Crye-Leike project is Joe Gooch of Memphis, Tenn. General contractor is Robert S. Biscan & Co. of Brentwood, Tenn. Civil engineer is Ragan-Smith Associates of Nashville. Mechanical engineer is I.C. Thomasson & Associates, Inc. of Nashville, Tenn.  Structural engineer is Reaves Sweeney Marcom of Memphis, Tenn. Interior Design is by Rainey Contract Design of Memphis, Tenn.

Williamson County has benefited from Crye-Leike’s expansion of offices into the Middle Tennessee area since 1992.
