Crye-Leike Trades in Log Cabin for Brick Office

Chattanooga, Tenn. – While Crye-Leike, Realtors marks December 2000 as its third year in Chattanooga’ s real estate market, it also is commemorating the move of its Cleveland branch office into a permanent location in Bradley County.

Crye-Leike’s Cleveland branch office recently left its temporary log cabin quarters at 5220 North Lee Highway and moved to 4627 North Lee Highway within Crye-Leike Plaza’s newly constructed 14,400 square foot office building. The one story branch office occupies 4,200 square feet.

“The remaining 10,200 square feet of the office plaza is available for lease as retail and office space,” notes Keith Rosenblum, president of Crye-Leike Commercial & Property Management in Brentwood, Tenn.  “The space can be divided to accommodate tenants as small as 1,000 square feet or up to 10,400 square feet.”

” Since our office first opened for business in August 1999, we have grown from two to 23 sales associates,” said Larry Allen, managing broker of Crye-Leike’s Cleveland branch office. ” Our new office has given us the expansion space we needed to adequately service clients in Bradley, Hamilton, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Polk and Rhea counties. The space includes 10 private offices and four semi-private offices for our top producers with room for up to 30 sales associates.”

“We consider our new Cleveland office to be in a prime location,” said Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer of Crye-Leike. “It is strategically located on a main thoroughfare in the north side of Cleveland, an area experiencing tremendous growth.”

“Bradley County overall has had strong growth over the past few years,” adds Crye. ” It is ranked as the fifth largest industrial job market in the state with over 100 different manufacturers doing business in the county.”

Amid the traffic congestion and construction on North Lee Highway, Crye-Leike Plaza has an alternative route to enter and exit the property. ” Fairfield Farm Road, located directly behind the property, allows our clients and sales associates to safely enter and exit Crye-Leike Plaza, particularly during the busy traffic hours of the day,” said Allen.

Larry Allen, a certified residential specialist, has been a real estate sales associate for the past 12 years with several real estate companies in the Cleveland area before joining Crye-Leike as branch manager of its Cleveland office. He has been in commercial development and leasing for 25 years. He currently serves as a director of River Counties Association of Realtors. His wife, Judy, joins him as a real estate partner in Crye-Leike’s Cleveland office.

“As Crye-Leike reaches its three-year benchmark in the Greater Chattanooga area, we have experienced phenomenal growth in such a short period of time,” said Jack Webb, vice president and general manager of Crye-Leike of Chattanooga, Inc.  “Our sales force has grown from 95 to over 230 sales associates. Our Cleveland branch office is our eighth location in the Greater Chattanooga and North Georgia areas.”

Crye-Leike (, the largest real estate firm in Tennessee and the Midsouth, has over 2,100 sales associates. Its 45 branch offices are located in 17 counties throughout a four-state Mid-South region: Tennessee (Chattanooga, Memphis, Nashville), Arkansas (Jonesboro, West Memphis), Mississippi (Hernando, Olive Branch, Southaven) and Georgia (Fort Oglethorpe). Independently owned and operated, Crye-Leike’s sales volume of

$3 billion in 1999 ranked it No.10 among the nation’s top 500 residential real estate brokerage firms, as reported in May 2000 by REAL Trends Magazine.
